I was hospitalized for a MONTH at Evanston and don't have any bad things to say about it. The nurses were great at making me feel comfortable and cared for. One nurse even when out of her way to find someone to cut my hair for free after losing hair during chemo. The doctors were also friendly and attentive, although some were more friendly than others. The room was clean. I didn't see any gross errors and the climate of "admit mistakes, so you can correct things" instilled more confidence in my care than you get when staff won't admit something has gone wrong. I had a rare form of leukemia and eight months later, I am out of the woods. Knock on wood. I give the doctors and nurses a lot of credit for successfully managing my disease.
