Dr. Chudik was honest with his information about surgery. I appreciated the honesty. He did not recommend surgery for my rotator cup and arthritic shoulder because of my age. I will continue with cortisone shots and physical therapy and home exercises.
My first visit resulted in no wait and I was taken 30 ahead of my appointment. My second visit not so. I was taken 45 minutes after my appointment time. I guess these things are expected when visiting doctors. That is why I always bring a book!!! I have done a lot of reading in doctors' waiting rooms.

Dr. Steven Chudik has repaired both of my shoulders. He is a very precise and talented surgeon. He has specific protocols depending on the injury and repair and makes sure you do things in order in an effort to give you the best possible outcome for your recovery. I definitely recommend him. He repaired my labrum, rotator cuff, bicep tenodesis, and impingement issues.

Dr. Chudik is a remarkable physician and surgeon, but equally as significant is that he listens, understands his patient's contexts and recommends treatments and procedures that fit his patients' needs, and not his. Dr. Chudik is among the best surgeons in the Chicago area.

Dr Chudik was my second opinion for a complete tear in the rotator cuff. First orthro told me at 63, I should just leave it alone and live with it. Great staff, appointments are on time, explain what he saw was wrong, explain my options and laid out the protocol for rehab. I can say after 5.5 months I am painfree, with full range of motion vs pain lifting a glass up an upper cabinet. Finished with PT and getting ready for a great season of golf. If I had listened to my first orthro I would not be playing.

I recently had rotator cuff surgery by DR. Chudik and I would recommend him for your surgery. He explains exactly what is wrong and how he is going to fix it. He is very professional. His staff is extremely polite and friendly and trust me, I was sent to a different orthopedic surgeon in the beginning and there is no comparison to the treatment I received.
You will be in great hands with Dr. Chudik, I promise!

Dr. Chudik has now done both of my ACL surgeries. He makes you feel comfortable after finding out the bad news and really explains what he is going to do and how it will all happen. After my second surgery, we had some questions about things so we called his office and they told us he was out of the office for vacation. He called us off of his personal phone, and off of his personal time to make sure everything was okay. Such great experiences both times, great staff and great doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Chudik.

My second visit to this Dr , waited more than an hour each time to see anyone.
I understand Drs being busy , but to leave my place of employment early, and be docked for it , it is completely unacceptable .
Please repair your staff that makes appointments .

I sustained a torn pectoralis major tendon in my right pec on December 19th 2014. I was bench pench pressing and all of a sudden I felt a "pop" in the chest/shoulder area, Immediately I experienced internal bleeding and my whole right side of my arm and armpit area was purple. After seeing my primary Dr , I was advised I could still function by leaving it torn or I can have it repaired surgically. So I went the non-surgical route for a couple months until I started experiencing more pain. Around June I made an appointment to see Dr. Chudik and I underwent surgery on July 2, 2015. He repaired the torn tendon by doing an allograft of my iliotibial band. I had a speedy and healthy recovery in my opinion. I was able to bench press 95% of my body weight more than 12 times before my 6 month post operation date(I weigh 225 lbs). I had to perform a power test for a law enforcement job on January 9th 2016 and successfully passed. His team is great and always willing to answer any questions and accommodate any need. Like all other top doctors calling and getting an answer the same day is rare but everything else was great. I would strongly recommend Dr. Chudik! He is really knowledgeable about and I felt 100% confident with every thing he and his team did throughout my rehab process. I am back in the gym and feel great. I hope I don't have to Dr. Chudik any time soon, for the sake that I don't want to be injured again, but I know I would go back to him if needed.
