Dr. Oberg is very quick to brush off every symptom a patient has as anxiety when she has no idea what else to do. I trusted her with my care and I was mistaken, and I paid her overpriced fees as well. She failed to recognize that a new thyroid hormone that I was taking was very detrimental to my health in every way. It took me a few months to figure this out om my own through diligent internet research and reading patient stories that were similar to mine. I just knew that these new symptoms were not normal for me, but she brushed them off as anxiety. She prescribed for me a high dose of beta-blocker for the new cardiac symptoms that I had begun to develop and was insistent that I take it even though I told her how sensitive I was to medications. Luckily, I did not listen to her. My cardiac symptoms (and many other symptoms) were caused by this harmful thyroid hormone, unbeknownst to me and to Dr. Oberg! As a patient, I counted on Dr. Oberg to know these things (since she's taking my money too). I was sort of counting on Dr. Oberg to know more than me about medicine, but she does not. There was one time that I reported symptoms to her and she literally told me to "whisper my problems to the ocean and let the wind carry them away." Yes, somewhat good advice, but not if your physical problems are being caused by a medication that she has failed to recognize. The problems that I suffered while on this thyroid hormone are very sad, but I am recovering now, thankfully. In my opinion, Dr. Oberg is pretty flaky, but self-assured at the same time. I think she might be better suited to work a retail job than to be a physician. Take everything she says with a grain of salt or better yet, don't work with her at all.
