Dr. Garcia is amazing. I cannot sing her praises enough. A gentle, compassionate, thoughtful soul wrapped in a direct honesty and clarity that cuts through patient anxieties... plus she is excellent at ensuring that any procedure that causes discomfort or even pain (e.g. a biopsy) is done in a way that both is thorough in providing what needs doing, and working quickly and with both her and staff keeping the patient engaged in order to minimize duration of any distress. She also makes sure to thoroughly review and be familiar with other conditions that patient may have beyond the reproductive system, and I highly recommend her to people who, like me, have multiple health issues. Her decision-making while taking the whole person and all challenges and needs into consideration, is sound.

Dr. Amy Garcia, MD is an exceptionally superior Physician, she and her staff are so welcoming and gracious. Dr. Amy Garcia, MD takes time to explain and lets you make the right choice about your situation. I was going in for a supracervical hysterectomy and Dr. Garcia found endometriosis during surgery and more organs had to be removed. I didn't understand why I was so sick all the time but now I am doing great. I credit Dr. Kara Danner, MD for referring me to Dr. Amy Garcia, MD, I believe she saved my life. New Mexico is very lucky to have her. I recommend her and have been telling all friends with similar problems about her exceptional skills and competence. This has been one of the most exceptional experiences of my life. Having an organ removed (supracervival hysterectomy) is no small invasion upon one's body! And the fact that I was pacing my hospital room 5 hours after the surgery awaiting to be released, only took a few pain killers as a prevention (not to actually control pain!), was back to rock climbing 6 days after surgery, and 2 days later I was cleared to living my life as usual, was simply unbelievable to me! From the first visit to the last (I am now 6 weeks after the surgery), I was treated with respect, competence, and I have to say, it was actually fun to see the doctor and visit with the office staff. I am grateful to have had Dr. Garcia recommended as being an exceptional surgeon - and happy to have discovered that she is a pretty awesome human being as well!
