Dr Hawkins is very rude and has terrible bedside manners. Went to him for help with electric shock pains in my feet and lower legs after doing neck surgery on me. He said that there was nothing wrong with me so I asked him to refer me to pain management he told me he would not see me anymore because he couldn't find anything wrong with me after telling him that this pain was new and started approximately two weeks after him doing neck surgery on me. I received a call from pain Management at Neuroscience group and they told me they would not even evaluate me. The only reason I can think of why they told me that is that he put a red flag on me as a drug seeking behavior. He pretty much dropped me like a Rock and didn't give a hoot about my condition. He is very unprofessional and would not recommend him to anyone. His attitude sucks and I wouldn't even let him look at my dog I have since done some research about my pain and have found that I could have arachnoiditis which occurs after spinal surgery. In my book he's a rotten doctor

Unprofessional. Does not allow you time to ask questions. Responses to left messages takes days for him to value you enough to return your call via his nurse. When he is told by 5 separate individuals that he must clear a narcotics order through the state he will hang up on you as well as the director of the emergency dept. rather than correct his mistake. I was sent home after a discectomy with an ice pack, aleve, and acetaminophen because he couldn't be bothered with calling the state to have a narcotics RX over ridden. I wouldn't recommend him to road kill.

Performed very well. Didn't shared too much information, but described the situation with "normal" vocabulary.

Dr. Hawkin's bedside manner very unprofessional, communication with family regarding patient's care non-existent, when asked questions he was rude and refused to answer them. He does not seem to care about the patient's well being and apparently finds it an inconvenience to respond to his pages in the middle of the night when on call. It is sad and heartbreaking to see the amount of disrespect coming from an individual you entrust with your loved one's life.
