My experience with Dr. Monaco was beyond terrible. I went to her for an adult ADHD diagnosis. She seemed very compassionate and knowledgeable for the first appointment. The day of testing, she wasn't even there and had her staff administer the tests. She popped in for maybe a minute at lunch. The day I was supposed to get my results, she was unapologetically late, and didn't even go over the results with me as promised. Basically gave me my diagnosis and told me to read the rest at home. When I read the report at home, it was HORRIBLY written with a lot of misinformation and mean-girl comments. My therapist was livid, and agreed that it terribly written, maybe by an intern. Or they just plugged the numbers into a computer, printed out the results and sprinkled in some commentary to make it look legit. My therapist is also a professor and asked my permission to use parts of the report to show her class what NOT to do. The whole thing was traumatizing, and I hope she loses her license, if she still has it.

Do not have this doctor evaluate your child. I was in the waiting room for our results for our 12 year old son, and I could hear Dr. Monaco and her master degree evaluators (she does not do the evaluations -despite what you are told). They were writing up the results at the last minute and I could hear them. Horrible comments were being made- very degrading comments about our parenting skills, and really just hopeless comments about our son. Results were devastating (I cannot go into detail) and no recommendations were made. Money hungry, greedy, ignorant and judgmental practice. Get a second opinion

Dr. Monaco is exceptional at what she does. She evaluated both my children and provided insight which has been instrumental at increasing their self-confidence and performance at school. She is able to interpret the test results and explain them in a way your children can understand and relate to. I am extremely grateful for the extra time she takes, her clear communication during the process, and her depth of knowledge. I would highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a thorough evaluation.

Dr. Monaco takes a thoughtful, analytical approach to neuropsych evaluations. She uses trained professionals to administer the tests but that is fine with me - a doctor does not need to perform them, but simply interpret them. She interpreted the tests and found significant insights regarding my dhild’s ability to process information. The report was extremely thorough and well written, and her recommendations were quite good. I had earlier had an evaluation done for my child at ILD in Lexington, MA and this evaluation was so much more thorough and better. I think reviewers are confused by who should perform routine testing and who should perform the more analytical work based on the test data. Would definitely recommend Dr. Monaco to anyone looking for a detailed, thoughtful evaluation. I found that she is very accessible, kind and insightful.

Do not have your child tested by this person. She does not do any personal testing, and does not read the scores correctly as a professional should. Her reports are terribly written and she does not explain score scatter, variance in verbal/performance areas, or the root problem behind the symptoms. I have had her report observed by several psychiatrists and other professionals and they are disgusted. She is totally running an in and out testing scam and is only out for your money. Beware!

Dr Monaco did not provide personalized testing. Her rather inexperienced associates did her interviewing and testing. She merely signs the paperwork and confers with them last minute. Her associates show their lack of years of experience by showing a judge mental attitude during the interview process and misinterpreting in a rather serious way the information that parents give to them. The whole process was so disappointing and the testing report was poorly written. Many parts of what should have been tested were missing. Not very thorough. No sensory testing was done!
