Binder has sold his soul. Doc at OHSU offered this, "I don't know how he can look at himself in a mirror, let alone sleep at night."

Avoid him for your safety and sanity.

Dr. Binder's contempt of the patients he is paid to evaluate for insurance purposes is blatantly obvious in his disparaging, biased, rambling to the point of meaningless, and dishonest accounts of medical reports.

I was sent for an IME, he was rude, nasty, violent . I was there all day and was not allowed to leave, he sat in front of the exit, I was extremely afraid of the man. I was alone in the office with him, there were no other employees in the "clinic", just the two of us. He acted like I was at fault for the TBI I received at work, putting blame on me. I was terrified that he was going to abuse me, he would give me a task to do then interupt me and complain that I took too long and did not get a perfect score, hello....I ended up in the hospital that night, terrified and afraid. He should not be allowed to "practice" at all. He is a hired gun for workers comp, and does everything he can to discredit all injuries. My injury was witnessed and recorded on cameras at my worksite, he did not realize that one and it bit him when it was brought up later. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy.

I was sent for an IME after suffering a TBI. I had to travel 8+ hours the day before the test, got no sleep the night before the test and had to adjust to a 3 hour time difference. Dr. Binder came in with an abrupt and nasty attitude which set the tone for the entire visit. He was very confrontational about an accident that I had that had nothing to do with my workman comp case. Dr. Binder jumped around from one subject to another without any rationale and acted very impatient when I needed time to follow where he was going with his questioning. In one test that I was supposed to use only one hand I accidentally used two and Dr. Binder actually smacked the back of my hand. I have since seen another doctor and she thinks he should be reported which I am considering. It is obvious from his report that he pulled out everything negative in my medical history and rearranged it to fit into a narrative that made me sound like a crazed drug seeking lunatic looking to make a fortune off of the insurance company. The truth that Dr. Binder failed to acknowledge is that I am a highly educated RN of 35 years and planned to continue practice at least another 6-8 years. I love my profession and am dedicated to helping people improve their lives through education of their disease process and how to manage it not how to become independent on the system. What kind of hypocrite would I be to attempt to fool the insurance company on the process I work against? Dr Binder obviously is paid to accuse all IME patients of malingering and he does it with no shame or guilt as to how it will harm the patient in the future. It will have far reaching consequences for attaining jobs, insurance, credit to mention a few. BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR

I was sent to Dr Binder for an "IME". I completed the six hours of testing on 3 hours of sleep, a very small dinner the night before, and no breakfast. During the six hours I was able to drink my 12 ounces of water and had one restroom break. I am absolutely sure the test results reflected my cognitive abilities accurately . I was very happy to help him rid the state insurance program of a few pesky thousand dollars.
Although I do wish I had time to go back and help him clean up his office...papers...files...containers of old food...items falling out of cabinets.... Einstein did say that a clean desk is a sign of a cluttered mind. If the environment was evidence someone in that office had a very empty mind!

I as well was sent for an IME and was injured several times at work, and had several concussions. Dr. Binder did not acknowledge the fact that my injuries came from work, and he also evidentially did not receive all my medical info considering he recommended vestibular testing which I have already have had done. Was blatantly rude to both me and my wife and was late to our appointment. Avoid at all costs.

I was sent to Dr. Binder for an IME. I recently received a copy of his report, in which he misquotes me several times, emphasizes points that bolster the insurance companies position, downplays points that are contrary to their position, and refutes everything my neurologist has diagnosed. (IME's are bought and paid for by the insurance companies, so this wasn't a big surprise.)
