she is one of the worst doctors i have ever seen , only cares about getting paid and not about the people that come to see her. We are now having medical problems due to her lack of follow ups . glad shes out of the medical field . good bye to you !

Patient suffered from severe stomach pains. Brereton completely dismissed symptoms, rolling her eyes, and REFUSED TO INVESTIGATE OR DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. ALSO WOULD NOT REFER THE PATIENT TO A SPECIALIST. The patient continued to suffer, kept going back to Brereton to get help, kept being dismissed after 4 visits to Brereton, ended up in the Hospital Emergency Department. After the appropriate hospital testing, the medical problem was diagnosed by a PROPER DOCTOR, but much damage was already done, and was more advanced than it should have been. Now the patient has a life-time of suffering because Brereton would not look after the patient!! I read that Brereton is retiring, which is a blessing to Ontario’s Healthcare system. DON’T STAY WITH A DOCTOR WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE REQUIRED SKILLS.

if i could give 0 stars I would, I ended up in the hospital because she told me my laundry list of symptoms was just stress and offered me anxiety meds. It has taken me 10 years to recover, and I was told if I was sent sooner for more testing everything I went through could have been avoided! Terrible Dr. Just wants you out of her room, she was usually over an hour late, not apologetic, rolls her eyes at your questions. I had to fight for tests to be done. Walk in clinics were more helpful.

We have been dealing with a variety of medical providers regarding complex medical issues for many years. They don’t come much better than Dr Brereton, she always endeavours to resolve problems in a very caring, sympathetic and efficient manner. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking a family doctor.

Horrible just horrible. I went to her years ago for extremely heavy periods. Her words "we don't look into it at your age". I was in my late thirtys at the time and have a history of endometriosis. Yesterday I ended up in the hospital due to extremely heavy prolonged bleeding. Turns out there is something wrong. Years of suffering because she didn't do her job. Thank god she's retiring and won't be working with people anymore.

Dr. Brereton has been my primary care doctor for about 20 years now, and I really do think she's a great doctor. Unfortunately, it's next to impossible to get through to her office to book an appointment.

I have completely given up on trying to make an appointment. I have been a patient of Dr Brereton for 15+ years. I have been calling to make an appointment for an annual medical (now 3 years late Post COVID). I wait on hold for 20+ minutes only to get a message and to call back. I have tried on & off for 4 months now. This is the worst customer service imaginable.
I even tried dropping by the office on a Friday afternoon and again on a Tuesday morning around 11am. The office was in complete darkness.
If this is what our medical system has turned into, we are doomed.

DO NOT GET A FAMILY DOCTOR IN THIS CLINIC. Dr Brereton herself is somewhat frustrating. She has dismissed several of my health issues over the years which have later turned into larger problems and should have been diagnosed earlier. But my real problem is the credit valley family practice associates. I have never been more frustrated with the health system in this country than from trying to get in contact with this practice. Their phone line is always busy, makes you wait on hold for 15min before hanging up, and does not take messages. Last month I needed to make an appointment and it took me 54 calls before I got through. FIFTY FOUR. All during their business hours. Every single time I have needed a prescription renewed, my pharmacy faxes the prescription and it is not returned. I have had multiple pharmacies and the same issue each time. Their phone line says that they only accept renewals via fax, but for some reason they seem to toss mine in the garbage each time it is faxed, and no one contacts me about it. I have had to beg my pharmacist to renew my prescriptions multiple times because I have been unable to contact this office for basic renewals. I am still in need of renewals today, have had my pharmacy fax my prescriptions multiple times, and am unable to get through on the phone lines to ask why it has not been returned. I have shed tears over my inability to get in contact with anyone from this office and get basic medial help multiple times. If you have any say in the matter, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I am a chiropractor who is treating one of her patients. The patient presented with crippling abdominal pain, I referred her back to her FMD Dr. Brereton. She was told she could not get an appointment for weeks or months as she was on vacation and they didn't refer her to anyone else for this emergency. She went to the ER via ambulance and was treated. Her blood pressure was dangerously high, and they didn't prescribe her any medication. When I checked it today it was again dangerously high. I tried calling Dr. Brereton's office myself and there is no reception, no voice mail. Get your act together before you kill someone with your or your office's laziness.
