DR Gorman does not care about elderly patients. He is not patient or does he have the time to look into their real concerns.

Dr. Gorman has been my doctor since I was an infant and I seriously trust him and feel comfortable coming to him about any of my issues. I find that other doctors can almost stress me out and I think his decisiveness and promptness with his treatment is what makes me feel most comfortable coming to him for medical care. I find him very personable too, so it is unfortunate to read some of the negative reviews on here.

This doctor is truly terrible! Reading everyone else’s reviews, I realized I’m not alone.
He has zero compression, zero personality, he has one foot out of the door during every visit, including phone calls. He doesn’t actually listen or pay attention. He is rude and abrupt.
Vets treat their patients better then this man treats humans.
If a Waite staff treated people like this, they wouldn’t have a job. “Dr” Gorman doesn’t deserve to have his…..
Jamie, if you don’t like the path you chose in life, you should truly reconsider what you’re doing.
We, your patients don’t deserve to feel your regrets in life. We come to you in need and vulnerable and you treat us like garbage. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I had the misfortune of getting Dr. Gorman instead of Dr. Caturay. I've never had such a rude doctor in my life, who belittled the problem I was coming in with, which from reading other reviews, seems to be a common theme with him. Patients don't want their "hand held" as one positive review here puts it, but they do want (and deserve) a professional doctor with a good bedside manner who actually cares. If there's a one word to describe him it'd be uncaring. He's a lout with a god complex who should absolutely not be practicing family medicine.

I know online reviews can often be rather hyperbolic and inflammatory, so let me make it very clear that I am not exaggerating at all when I say that Dr. Gorman was a terrible family doctor for my family and myself. While his staff is amiable enough, the wait times are far too long—on top of that, he keeps one foot out the door even as he steps in with the other. I'm no stranger to lax family doctors hastily trying to get you on your way. Frankly, I'm not surprised Harold Shipman thrived in the business despite his horrific atrocities; showing even a speck of care for your patients puts you light years ahead of most family doctors. However, I never thought I'd have a doctor trivialize my pain or crudely mock and belittle me for my concerns. Dr. Gorman has checked off all those boxes for me. Not only has he been unable to diagnose rapidly escalating symptoms over years, he has shown no sympathy or interest in helping me; more than that, he actually seems irritated every time I come back, like I'm a pest. As quickly as he can, he dismisses all of my concerns with curt apathy. It's actually stunning just how little he cares: even though my anxiety and fear over my condition were obvious, the only emotion he ever showed besides irritation or indifference was amusement as he laughed at my stress over my pain. I know it sounds like I'm describing a cartoon villain, but that's honestly exactly how surreal it felt being his patient and observing his behavior. His callousness has brought me severe, likely permanent suffering; although I have thankfully left his care, he carelessly ruined my life when I put my trust in him.

If you or someone you truly care dearly for may have something serious to deal with, I recommend you look elsewhere. If you stay with him, please consider getting a second opinion about anything serious: I'm not saying this as an angry internet troll, I'm genuinely worried about the safety of his other patients. Take care of yourselves, and remember that you know how your body feels more than anyone else: don't let anyone, professional or not, dismiss or ridicule you for your concerns. Be your own advocate, and don't be bullied by the very people meant to ensure your well-being.

Dr. Gorman has been my family dr for over 2 years and I have had a good relationship with him.
I scheduled a call with him recently for a follow up, which was scheduled in between 9 am to 1:30 pm. He didn't call until almost 3 when I had a conference call.
We discussed my lab results and he asked me if I wanted to do my follow up lab sooner. I said I definitely want it to be done sooner because I worry about my health. Then he just lashed out at me out of sudden. He questioned "are you a professional??" “Why don't you let the professional decide???” He was really rude and he talked over me. I said it's normal for me to worry about my health especially when there's a problem, and it was you that asked me whether I wanted to do it sooner. I was only responding to your question. I said I don't understand why my request upsets you. But apparently he didn't hear any of my words because he was yelling at me on the phone.
I drove 45 mins every time I had to go see him and since he was good to me, I didn't bother changing the family physician.
I believe NO ONE should deserve this kind of service. Maybe it sounds mean, but I do not care what you might have experienced that day, I am the patient in this relationship and you should act PROFESSIONALLY. At least, DO NOT YELL AT YOUR PATIENT. Will not go see him ever again.

Dr. Gorman has been my Doctor for over 20 years and I have always felt confident in his advise in securing my better health. The appropriate amount of time has always been given to explain a health issue, tests results, etc... Staff has always been helpful, especially Nancy.
Referrals have always been excellent. Dr. Gorman has proven over my 20 years as a patient, to be exactly what I expected from a very good, competent family physician.
