Dr. Ta has been excellent in diagnosing and treating what was a mystery swelling in my hands. I have inflammatory arthritis and pseudo Gout so I am a bit of a challenge! Dr Ta has given me some relief and certainly pinpointed what is going on with my joints! He has is very professional and knowledgeable. He even laughs at my jokes! I would recommend him to anyone seeking to find the diagnostics and care for their Rhuemotolgy issues. -Carol Anne

Wouldn't recommend my friends to Dr.Ta.
- Did take much interest in my problem
- Could not/did not find the issue.
- Did not offer any solution short or long term
- When i asked for medication/pain relief, he suggested a shot, that he said may or may not work. Did not guide me on what to do if it did not work.
- When I visited again for acute pain, he got me a shot in the office - but he didn't want to give me the shot - he acted as if it was BENEATH him to give me a shot.
- Wait times > 1 hr

Dr. Ta is caring and knowledgeable. He took his time to understand my concerns. With his treatment, now I am able to enjoy life, doing activities that I had not been able to do without excruciating pain for years.

Ta was horrible. He dx'd me with "just fibromyalgia" despite obvious autoimmune disease. I found a good rheum who actually listened, examined me, and TREATED me.

Dr. Ta is treating me for polymyalgia rheumatica. His diagnostic abilities seem to be excellent and he has explained my condition, treatment and prognosis as clearly as possible. He also answers my questions clearly and willingly. My visits with Dr. Ta have been encouraging and supportive.
Eating the proper foods is a very important part of the therapy for PMR and the "Eat To Live" diet that he recommended has helped me lose about 20lbs. in 2 months.

Unless you have a condition that is easy to diagnose, do not go to this doctor.

When my Dr. retired I chose Dr Ta because I thought he had a very good education. The first time we met I was very disappointed because he didn't read my history / Dr's Notes from Dr Pollock who I saw for over 15 years. I have Fibromyalgia and we tried everything to help the pain. I even took part, on my own, a Fibro. Study at the U of W for over a year. I was finally put on pain medication; it has worked since early 90's and the dose remains the same. Dr. Ta finally decided he would continue on with what Dr. Pollock planned for me. This is the terrible part of the story. Three months ago Dr Ta decided to work at Overlake Clinic/Hosp. The reason was he didn't want to deal with pain patients and moving to Overlake meant that he could refuse to work with pain patients. He could also get rid of all of the patients from Dr Pollock that he inherited. He gave me one name to chose from Dr Gupta. She would get less than one star. We saw her two weeks ago. Because we moved to Northern Idaho and no one wanted pain patients I stayed with Minor & James a 800 mile round trip. We saw Dr Gupta for the first time. She said in the first two minutes of our appointment that she would not prescribe my pain medication and she recommended we see a pain clinic. That is when I understood. This wasn't about me this was about PAIN PATIENTS! Minor & James along with all Clinics are kicking us out to pain clinics...have you noticed how many are being built! The government has put the fear of God into the clinics and Dr's. I am going to include two links that are important to see/read. I know that pain clinics are set up to take our pain meds away not help us with our pain. It is very dangerous. I am 70 in January, I have other problems including my heart. I am afraid that this process is going to be a very bad thing and in the end there are NO alternatives and pain will be unbearable. Please take time to see these links.

I do want to say one thing about Dr Ta and the other Dr's will not take care of pain patients anymore. They are beat down and scared to death of losing their licenses. Pain Patients are hard to help. I talked to a person who is above the Dr's at Minor & James. I asked her if I was correct in thinking that we are being kicked out and funneled into pain clinics...she said that I was correct. This is just beginning to happen. I don't fault the Dr's I blame our government. Many people will not be able to stand the pain and they will do what my grandmother did, take there lives. I am truly scared.
