Dr Lehman truly saved my life after years upon years of suffering without answers. I can’t say enough good things about her as a doctor and a person. She really digs to find what the root cause is and leaves no stone unturned. When I initially came to her I was completely bed ridden and slowly wasting away with lyme, and under her guidance and protocol I am back in my life. She truly cares about helping her patients.

I could not recommend Dr. Lehman more highly. Her intelligence and prestige are akin to that of Dr. House. If you are looking for a tick-borne disease specialist in Los Angeles that will actually get you better, she is the person to go to. She is clever, caring, accessible, and extremely, extremely bright. A true expert. Aside from treating your Lyme and co-infections, Dr. Lehman takes a comprehensive assessment of your health and identifies weak spots, which she then treats with a combination of herbs, medications, IV treatments, and/or alternative therapies. Moreover, unlike many other LLMD’s, Dr. Lehman works on strengthening every system in your body, which she explains is a crucial step in the healing process. Thanks to Dr. Lehman, I am ironically in better health now than I have ever been—even before all of this! I trust Dr. Lehman with my life, and you really should too!

I am sorry but I must agree with the other negative comments. The staff is pretty incompetent and disorganized and every single appointment runs late. The women who work the front desk are apathetic, lazy and only care about their iphones and have no interpersonal skills. The staff is way too pushy with multipass ozone IV's which I am now learning can be very dangerous and I refuse to do them . They also charge outrageous fees for ozone and provide no justification. I do believe they take advantage of people with chronic illness and convince them that they need to spend $20-30K on IV's to get better. I'm also sure the assistants/nurses get a cut of every ozone IV that is sold because when I turned down ozone I got major attitude. The nurse Jose is basically a nice guy but he has some weird chip on his shoulder and I don't feel very comfortable around him. As for Dr Lehman she is very intelligent but scatter-brained and forgets a lot of important information when working with patients. Whenever I see her I feel we are starting from scratch. She also lacks confidence when making certain recommendations and every appointment I have had with her was interrupted by one of her staff members multiple times. So I feel I never have her undivided attention. I decided that I will no longer be visiting this practice and found another practitioner who is a better fit for what I need to get well.

Dr. Lehman is the only doctor who has been able to help my son through his difficult journey. He was sick for 4 years prior and was constantly misdiagnosed by over 10 doctors and specialists until we met Dr. Lehman.
She is a brilliant doctor with a great deal of experience and has a high level of knowledge in her specialty. Dr. Lehman also happens to be one of the most sincere and compassionate doctors we know.
She takes the time to listen to my son and is always prompt with her return emails, phone calls and appointments. People need to understand the complexity of Lyme disease and the time it truly takes to help each patient. Most doctors will not spend the time like Dr. Lehman to help guide patients through this complicated disease. It’s takes a special person to do what she does. We are extremely grateful for Dr. Lehman and how she has helped my son navigate the difficult journey to regain his health. We are forever grateful. Thank you Dr. Lehman.

My husband and I have been successfully treated by Dr. Lehman for over a year. She is a brilliant integrative physician. Our health and well-being have greatly benefitted from her expertise in diagnosing and treating tick-borne infections, as well as mold toxicity. I have previous experiences with four Lyme Literate Medical Doctors (LLMDs). I knew at the first appointment my instincts to seek out a LLMD considered to be an expert in the field (according to lymedisease.org) were correct. It is difficult to find a physician who will acknowledge chronic tick-borne infections, let alone have the experience and training to properly diagnose and treat a patient. The complex and horrific symptoms of multiple-systemic-infections often are mistakenly treated as psychosomatic by other physicians. It was a relief to find a doctor who truly cares about her patients and has dedicated her life to helping patients that other doctors dismiss as untreatable. She continuously keeps up to date on best practices in this ever-changing field of medicine. The CDC and insurance companies have made it a challenge for doctors to treat in this area. When you understand the politics involved, it makes sense that experienced LLMDs don’t accept insurance and patients must be willing to be a partner in their health care. This is not often understood by patients who have been treated solely by conventional doctors. Although not always easy, it is well worth being an active participant in exchange for restored health. I have been a long-time member of lymedisease.org, so I was thrilled to hear that Dr. Lehman was invited to join the executive board last year. It is an honor and privilege to be her patient.

Dr. Lehman is the only doctor that has been able to help me. I have been sick for over 10 years and finally, I feel okay enough to take care of my kids and to go back to work. She is the most patient and knowledgable doctor I have ever met and she took so much of her own time to carefully come up with a plan for my health. She came up with the perfect combination of treatment for my tick borne disease and I am so lucky to say I feel like finally have my health back. Her knowledge astounds me every appointment I have with her and she is truly an expert in her field. I am so thankful to have found a doctor like Dr. Lehman and I am even more thankful that she saved my life.

My 14 year old suffered for 8 to 9 years with over 50 symptoms, from joint pain to paralysis and convulsions, yet was always given either a prescription for opiates or a referral to a psychologist. After doing my research, I felt it may be Lyme related, and through diligent research, sought out Dr. Lehman.! For those who become engulfed into this virtual abyss, you know it's relevance to politics, big Pharma, and greed. Anyone choosing to treat anything Lyme related, (especially after already securing a prestigious title that society accepts as an ophthalmologist) would be either insane or have an innate drive to help those who are suffering. Throughout appointments, phone consults, and emails, we learned she is not deranged, (although I know I would be), but honestly wants to help. As for not being Lyme literate, she is a board member of lymedisease.org, keeping up to date on the latest discoveries and treatments. There is no one pill or one protocol to solve this epidemic, which is also no fault of hers. Is the doctor busy? Umm YES!! Does she charge quite a bit? Ummm yes! Do not place the blame on her, instead give thanks to the good ole U.S. of A’s rules and regulations forbidding insurance to cover any Lyme related treatments for over 21 days. Bottom line is Dr. Lehman is an intellectual saint whom we have grown to absolutely admire and will be forever grateful for her wisdom.
Thank You, Dr. Lehman

WHAT'S UP WORLD - anyone who's bashing Dr. Lehman or Jose are probably a little off their rocker. I've been seeing Lehman for 2 years now, and have had over 100 visits with her and Jose in that time. These two run the show. And the show isn't some run of the mill rote task - we're talking treatment of one of the most complex, understudied, and expensive diseases a human in the US can get. Dr. Lehman is connected to and learns from the world's leading Lyme specialists and tailors every treatment to the individual. She really is one of the smartest people I've ever met. I've seen over 50 doctors in the last 10 years due to my illness and I was in shock with how much time she spent getting all the data she needed to make the perfect treatment for me. She even takes the time to listen to my crappy stories and emails me back at all hours of the night. DOES THIS WOMAN SLEEP?!
Is getting tested for lyme expensive? yeah.
Is treatment for lyme expensive? heck yeah. but blame the CDC and FDA for that one.
Is Jose quick when it comes to shots and IVs? yeah, cause he treats 60+ people a day. The guy will not tell you no. you need something? he's there. One time i forgot a bag of fluids before a huge white blood cell transfusion and he DROVE TO MY HOUSE to drop one off. One word to describe that dude: LOYAL
Does insurance cover your visit? HECK NAW. tell your insurance company you have lyme and good luck getting covered on anything ever again.
Moral of my story: I'm healthy. I literally never thought i'd be able to type those words. but here I am, because of Jose, Dr. Lehman and Dr. Rahbar (he's the man, too).
If it takes time to get in, remember that theres two amazing people doing the healing of a lot of sick patients, and know that when you get your time, you'll have partners in health for life. When you get Lyme, there's not a straightforward path to health and not even a promise of it. You could have it for life. Comparing my life before Lehman and then 2 years after, the contrast is unbelievable. Love her. Love Jose. Money and brains cure Lyme. If you need the brain and have the money - i'll see you in the waiting room.

IM OUT!

Dr. Lehman is the doctor that cured me of Lyme Disease, after 3 years of constant doctor visits up and down the Coast of California. Dr. Rahbar referred her to me, after a lyme diagnosis. I have been to many specialists and come from a family of doctors. She is a brilliant diagnostician. Yes, she is busy, perhaps, but that is because, I believe she is sought after. I never did have to wait more than a few minutes. She spoke to me on the phone when needed. She emailed me every time I emailed her, promptly. She went through the volumes of paperwork I had, and put me on what cured me, after only 4 months. That was I think a little over 2 years ago. (Dr. Rahbar had worked with me for 3 months first on the gut issues, that did cure that)
I often hear that Lyme doctors are expensive, however it is because many of the elements of lyme are not covered by insurance. Which is the darn (*&%$) insurance companies fault. I also hear many people complain about not treating all of it (not of this doctor but all lyme in general) then they switch mid treatment, which is really not smart because that is like starting from scratch. You have to do everything the doctor says (Dr. Lehman) and eat well, not drink alcohol, rest enough, etc.
She is my hero, because she figured out what I needed and cured me. I cannot highly recommend her enough. As well, I have been to other doctors and they weren't 1/100th as good at diagnosing.
