Dr. Slattery performed surgery on me with Dr. Azizzadeh. I had previously had an Acoustic Neuroma removed that left the left side of my face with full paralysis and complete hearing loss of the left ear. Dr. Slattery and Azizzadeh performed surgery on me January 2022, moving nerves and grafting nerves to reanimate my face. After 5 months the left side of my face has lifted and after 6 months the left side of my face is moving and continues to improve daily. In November 2022, I will have the second surgery performed to complete the reanimation. Dr. Slattery has great skill, knowledge, compassion that comes from a lot of hard work and experience. Thank you Dr. Slattery for giving me back confidence and letting me feel comfortable just being me! I will be forever grateful to you!

On December 13, 2018, I had surgery performed by Dr. Slattery, at The House Ear Clinic, to remove a large tumor behind my ear. Not long after that, a pattern of inattention to my case quickly became apparent. Follow-up questions were ignored, Dr. Slattery forgot to order my follow-up MRIs, after I repeatedly reminded him we needed those scans he let the report sit on his desk for three weeks, and Dr. Slattery's personal promises of medical records being forwarded to two other surgeons for a second opinion were repeatedly broken.
Those scans revealed that one-third of the original tumor remained: it was fully operable, in fact, I was told nothing remained after the first operation. Finally, after being diagnosed with a fatal disease that Dr. Slattery was the expert I had hired to cure, he gave me "at most, two months," before I required a second surgery and then proceeded to ignore my case in two and three week increments, multiple times, while I only had two months to live. He just gave me the silent treatment, like a little child. He didn't seem to care if I lived or died. He prevented me from getting life-saving scans by neglecting to order them, he tried to prevent me from getting a life-saving surgery by giving me the silent treatment. Just think of the mental torture that puts a patient through... Shame on you Dr. Slattery!
Dr. Slattery’s clinic, The House Ear Clinic, is not much more attentive. In all but one case, every time I spoke with someone at The House Ear Clinic, from Dr. Slattery, to the resident doctors, to the surgical schedulers and financial specialists, they spoke over me, answering questions they thought I would ask, but refusing to listen to the actual question I needed to ask. They are increadibly bad at using their own ears for an "ear clinic." They were also very bad on the financial side. The entire procedure required that I put $6900 down, prior to surgery at The House Ear Clinic; the neurosurgeon I found on Google, Shohet Ear Associates, did it for $2650 down! The House Ear Clinic also overcharged me $2884 of that $6900, and it took months to get that back from them even though they never had any right to that money in the first place.
On the other hand, the second surgeon I found, Dr. Shohet of Shohet Ear Associates, treated me like a concierge patient! But that's another review... a five-star review!

A Q-tip accident in 2006 unable to work. After two surgeries and multiple doctors including the best Boston had to offer and the top doctor at Johns Hopkins, I had run out of options. I moved to Nevada in 2012, seeing ENTs here. No help until Dr. Weingarten in Henderson told me about Dr. Slattery. I went to LA not really expecting a solution, but Dr. Slattery found the problem. I had surgery on 6/03/13. The prognosis is very good. For me, Dr. Slattery did what no other doctor could do. If you are having an ear problem and are getting no help from your doctor, I recommend Dr. Slattery.

I highly recommend this doctor. He is very knowledgeable, empathetic, takes his time with patient, and did a great job with my mom's surgery. I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Slattery.
