Impeccable academic credentials, a well trained , kind, understanding, clinical psychologist,. Dr. Satt was most effective in helping me cope with PTSD. He is a very non-threatening , gentle, and caring professional whom I would highly recommend . I will remain forever grateful to him for the care he extended me.

Dr. Satt was recommended by a good friend of ours. Our son had retreated from us, would not engage in family life or even speak with us beyond the necessary - we just couldn't reach him. We needed someone quickly and Dr. Satt agreed to meet with our son. Immediately after the first meeting, our son felt safe and felt he was able to talk freely with Dr. Satt . A parent's natural reaction is to ask "so what did you talk about", but our son was able to explain that this was HIS time with HIS doctor and he asked us to respect his privacy. We did so and bit by bit, week by week our son returned to the fun, loving, funny young man we knew (and missed). Everything across the board changed for the better - from interaction and participation at home, his friendships with peers, his relationships with co-workers and best of all, his attitude towards school (which was always a struggle for him). We are SO thankful that Dr. Satt said yes to seeing our son and that while communication was always open between all of us, our son's privacy was never breached. Recently, our son felt overwhelmed and returned to Dr. Satt for a meeting ... it was wonderful to see the quick adjustment back to himself. Our son knows that if he ever needs to touch base, Dr. Satt is only a phone call away - it's a huge comfort for us as well. We all can't thank Dr. Satt enough for his advice and help during the past 18 months. We have our son back and we are all communicating better as well.

Dr. Satt was not proactive with our teenage son. He missed so many signs of severe depression and never referred us to a psychiatrist. Our son ended up being diagnosed with Bipolar after being hospitalized for a week because he was suicidal. What a shame that years of therapy with Dr. Satt did not result in helping our son. I think Dr. Satt is much better suited to treat adults.
