Dr. Rusen worked with me for many years, during times when i made good money & times when i was destitute. He cared about my well-being, regardless of my financial situation. When i moved out of state, he did TONS to remain supportive for several YEARS. He responded to email & phone calls. I believe & can say without exaggeration that had it not been for "Dr. Dave", i quite likely would have given up in 2006. When i asked in 2010 to switch medications & mentioned having a form of autism (it isn't obvious, so i didn't reveal it), he wanted to see me in his office, which was reasonable & responsible. Regrettably, my car is not in good condition & i could not afford to pay for transportation to & from his office (let alone a night's cheap lodging & a reduced fee for a visit), so i couldn't comply with his wishes. Now i work with a county clinic & D.O. The D.O. is great, the clinic is overloaded & understaffed ~ yet they do their best. i shall never forget DR's kindness & decency.

Rating Dr. Rusen's 'staff' is difficult, because what staff members he has work behind the scenes. He is in an office which is atypical: no Receptionist and a lot of privacy. Dr David Rusen is extraordinarily knowledgeable regarding pharmacology, including OTC medicines and supplements which may wreak havoc with prescribed medications. But, as with any MD, you must *inform* him of what you take and/or eating habits: even Vitamin C or a morning cup of tea can change the way a med behaves. I trust this Doctor fully and recommend him without hesitation. He will work with you flexibly, as long as you are behaving with honesty and accountability. His manner is warm and unpretentious and he takes the well-being of his patients seriously. Simply put, if you see a med and become enthusiastic enough to mention it and Doctor Rusen hesitates and takes a step back, he is doing so because he has valid concerns. He keeps excellent patient records and absolute confidentiality. THE BEST!
