Dr. Brard has been my doctor for over four years. He is consistently knowledgeable, careful about using new drugs until he is confident about them. He is NOT just a pill pusher. He answers my questions patiently and completely. I trust and rely on his judgement. His use of computer records has been a positive from my experience.

i thought dr brard was very rude and sarcastic. he only looked at his laptop while he insulted me, shaking his head. instead of trying to seem like he wanted to help he just insulted me. he is very errogant. i have moved here from another state and was hoping to find a good endocrinologist, and after waiting 5 months to see him, i will say i was terribly disappointed. i have seen alot of doctors in my time, but i have never been to anyone as rude and uncaring as him. i wouldn't even take my dog to him.

I have had to wait for the 4 visits I have had at least 2 hours. Each visit the receptionist has had to announce Dr. Brard is behind at least an hour. when I finally do see him, the longest he has been in the room with me is between 3-5 minutes. Very rude, arrogant and has a serious case of "I am God". Doesn't listen to my needs. Speaks down to the patient. will not go back! Find another doctor who has better people skills, knowledge, and treatment skills.

I have been a patient of Dr. Brard's for over 5 years. I see him regarding diabetes and thyroid. He has always been cordial and attentive to my comments and questions. He does use a computer to create and manage records. (So do several other doctors I see.) Since he is typing, he does not make eye contact as frequently as some doctors who write or dictate notes, but I have never felt ignored. I trust his judgment. I have dealt with 5 endocrinologists during the 23 years I have had diabetes. He is a solid #2 on my list. Wish I had something good to say about his front office / back office staff. They must have to score below 10 on a scale of 100 to be hired. I suppose it could be me, but I don't seem to incur the same poor treatment from any other Dr's staff. In contrast is his nurse assistant. She is a pleasure to see when I go in.

This is the worst experience with office personnel I have ever encountered in a doctor’s office. Their communication skills are atrocious to nonexistent. After dealing with a number of the receptionists and other administrative types, I have concluded they have a total disregard for the patient. Their follow-up with prescription requests and test results communication are horrendous. I believe this all starts with the doctor in charge. I found him to be aloof, distant and non caring - just running patients through as fast as he can. His attitude shows in the staff he hires. I will not be going back.

My husband had a pituitary tumor which was removed last Nov. at Barrow Neurological Center. On our first meeting with Dr. Brard, I found him to be cold, insensitive and very defensive if you asked him specific questions. He treated my husband just like a mechanic would treat a car engine. My husband was a series of symptoms for him. He never once smiled and made very little eye contact. My husband has an enlarged prostate and elevated PSA levels and evidence of prostate cancer. He suggested that he take testosterone which would elevate his PSAs even higher! I was quite alarmed. I questioned that plan of action and Brard didn't appear concerned about possible medical consequences. He believes that MD after his name stands for Medical Deity. I will definitely seek a second opinion after this initial encounter with the Ice King.

I was dx w/thyroid Cancer in Feb. 2007. When I first saw him before my sugery he told me my surgeon would have to take out at least 50 lymph nodes out of my neck and I would be lucky if I could talk afterwards! Also he told me I would have a scar from "ear to ear". My surgeon only took 27 lymph nodes and my scar was only 4" long. When I went back to Dr. Brard he stated he felt my surgeon did not do enough and there was more cancer left and for me not to be surprised if it did not spread to other lymph nodes in my body. When I was getting ready for a treatment he also did not give me the proper methods to prepare my body for them. His reasoning for this was I would need at least 4 or 5 treatments & this treatment was just to find out where the cancer spread. During this time I went to a Thyca Conference and realized Dr. Brard was not that well informed on thyroid cancer and they suggested I see a thyroidologist instead and thank god I did! She was very positive abo

I've called and seen him twice to tell him the medication he's prescribing for my Thyroid condition is aggravating my arthritis. It took 2 weeks for him to return my call! When I did see him, he didn't seem concerned about the additional pain and my limited mobility, and was totally immersed in cyber space. It wouldn't be so bad if he was sharing what he was reading, I'm assuming its my chart and not e-mail. My pharmacist showed me that joint pain is the 1st side affect listed on this medication. He made no changes to my medication and sent a letter along with my lab results telling me to see him in November, it was February. He seems to do better with his diabetic patients.

I have been to Dr. Brard a couple times now and I have to defend Dr. Brard that he does listen to what I say and what I read about my hypothyroid/hypoparathyroid condition. He listened and yes he does write in his computer - no different than the doctor who writes in his folder. The computer is not just for notes - it also helps him with researching your symptoms. I am feeling better after just two visits and with what I have it is not easy to feel good.

Dr.Gyan listened to me well which you can't always find in a doctor. He seemed very knowledgeable in his field. He gave me eye contact when needed and put what I was saying into his computer. This was the first time I saw him today and I would like to continue following up with him.
