Dr Derek Chen was very kind and understanding as well as highly capable. I had a laproscopic inguinal hernia repair which went very well and every step was attended. I've been amazed at how quickly I recovered, two weeks almost forgot I had the procedure.

I was quite anxioua as I had complications with my last hernia done by a different surgeon with the older open approach and had nerve complications and prolonged pain. His honesty and confidence as well as listening ear made this a vastly different experience. I'd recommed Derek as a high volume surgeon with modern technique to anyone. he has put the effort into mastery. Thanks Dr Chen.

I had a 'huge' lipoma in my abdomen and Dr Chen was confident to remove it laproscopically. He assured me that he was able to remove it without any complications.....subject to there being no Sarcoma!
The lipoma was enlodged in a muscle n the muscle had to be cut open to release the lipoma. This lipoma was 10x8cms but Dr Chen cleanly removed it!
Very professional and v confident.
His Anaethetist Dr Barry Lim was a real champ. After a prolonged tel conversation with him i came out after the surgery with no nausea or vomitting!! Another Champion!!!
Definitely recommend them.

Had my gallbladder out last year. No complications. Recovery was perfect. I can anything I want, no issues. Highly recommend.

Dr Chen performed a cholecystectomy for me November last year. I suffered no post op complications, and recovered with ease to my surprise. Am able to eat a full array of food back to what I was eating pre gallbladder episodes. Couldn't recommend him highly enough. Thanks Dr Chen.

Derek Chen performed an Ivor Lewis Surgery for oesophagus cancer, it is one of the biggest surgery anyone can get, he explained everything never left out the bad parts for which we appreciated his honesty, during recovery nursing staff told us they had never seen a surgeon that could perform this surgery so well. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts as 10 years later my husband survived this horrible cancer. Thank you Bill & Jackie Hurl

Derek Chen performed an oesophagectomy on me 6 months ago. I can`t speak highly enough of his care and concern for me both pre and post op. He performed and incredibly difficult surgery and I am now feeling really well. I would highly recommend him.

Derek Chen performed surgery to repair an extra large Hiatus Hernia on me in March this year. I found him to be very caring & knowledgable, he explained everything in detail, I felt I was in good hands. Choosing Derek Chen for my surgery was a good decision.
