Dr Talwar is punctual but barely interacted with me. Little eye contact and didn't ask what concerns I may have had--which meant that my ongoing migraine (discussed at my previous appointment) only came up she I insisted. Then my concerns and experience with my migraine was dismissed. The concept of a referral to a neurologist was dismissed in the same sentence the possibility was mentioned. The most helpful part of the encounter was when he suggested that he may not be the gp for me.

He is only on time because he rushes through patients. A doctor should be compassionate, something he is very far from being. I would seriously advise people to never see this doctor. He is not interested in patients at all. My husband was sick and went to see him. After only 5 min, he brushed it off as stress and ever even got him to do any exams or anything. Why? Why do these people go into medicine if they don't have a heart?!!!

I'm also surprised by all the poor ratings Dr. Talwar has received. I started going to him a year ago and I have been more than happy with him as a doctor. I am in my early 30's though and also a health professional. I feel he treats me with respect and is really easy to talk to. If I have any concerns he is more than happy to do investigate. I have never once felt that he was rushing out the door. I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Talwar is not a good doctor. Told me a year to see someone for my hip. He said 4 months of pain killers and well see if I can tolerate the pain. He refused to give me a referral and made me go to a walk in clinic to get one. The Hip and knee clinic said I had a right to a referral. Like my hip will get better? He just told me it is going to need a hip replacement. He only wants to see you every 3 months to renew your prescription. He even said he can't prescribe more than 3 months. It was for Synthroid and I have been on it for 10 years and suddenly no more 1 year prescription. He is in it to milk the system.

I am surprised at some of the negative previous reviews. I found this doctor to be empathetic, attentive and knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to me and the reason I came to see him, and asked enough pertinent questions regarding my condition. Even though it was my first time at this clinic, I felt taken care of and listened to.

This guy would rather be golfing. He behaves like daddy paid for his education and he's only in it for the money. Goddam I'm trying to ditch this guy but this town is overrun with terrible doctors

Not the picture of one's ideal doctor. Found him very arrogant, rude and not compassionate AT ALL! No real interest in patient, no interest in investigating further. Not sure what possessed him to go into medicine!

He may be a punctual doctor, but that is all he has going for him. On my initial appointment of meeting him, he had me out the door in 10 minutes....what kind of assessment is that. He also wanted to charge $25 for a simple physiotherapy referral, $15 for a doctor's note. What do we have Alberta Health Care for if this guy is charging for all services he is providing. To me it seems like he is just trying to get more money out of his patients. Don't waste your time going to him.

I find Dr. Talwar to be very easy going while still beng professional. I had a few issues that I wanted to discuss with him and he's taken the time to listen and follow up with the appropiate lab work. Great bedside manner. His staff are friendly and my appointments are always on time.
