If you are ever required to have an independent review with this doctor, say as little as possible. The less that is said the less she can twist.
She will not allow a support person in the room, so is able to twist the narrative to suite whoever is paying her at the time. The reports produced are often factually inaccurate and intentionally down plays anything that does not serve her agenda.
In court she appears to perform in the same manner see Lawrence V Christian Brothers, it is shocking.

If you ever have the misfortune of having to have an independent psychiatric assessment done by this woman be very careful. She lies, promises she is independent and clearly isn't. She will quote other medical professional's notes out of context and make stuff up to keep who-ever is paying her happy bringing her more work with no regard for the mental health of person in front of her. Read the case Lawrence v Christian Brothers. The Judge was scathing in regard to Dr Piirto's evidence lacking impartiality and independence. If you have to see her I recommend you record the session so you have proof of the interview - she absolutely cannot be trusted to tell the truth.

Avoid this woman. She doesn’t listen talks about herself and takes personal calls. Her report was so factually incorrect and couldn’t even spell my surname correctly. Don’t waste your time or money.

Avoid this woman at all costs. She is utterly terrible. She does not listen at all, and she shows no indication of actual empathy (or even sympathy). She is also obviously burnt out (your first thought on entering an appointment with a medical professional should never be "Whoa, are THEY okay?"). The reports I received were completely inaccurate representations of the appointments and not at all indicative of the issues which lead me to present there; they was also full of errors - even simple things like names and dates were wrong, and she had blatantly misquoted documents (actual documents, where she took the words, rearranged them and omitted key parts, and then cited them in quotation marks). She even contradicted things she herself had previously said. The first appointment I was made to attend, she based all her questions and assumptions off something completely irrelevant to the matter at hand, leading to the conclusion that things were all in fact well. In the context of that irrelevant matter, yes, things were fine, but that was not the reason I was there! Threw me under the bus and left me in such a worse state, which was a catalyst for a deep, extended depression, and then anxiety, which I am still struggling with over a year later. I was asking for help and was informed that I was wrong, and likely lying. All that from a mostly one-sided (majority her) conversation which lasted less than an hour. If you're feeling suicidal, there's a good chance she will push you over the edge.

I had a very good experience with Dr Piirto and can’t thank her enough for her help. I'm tracking so well and she played such an important part on my progress.

Not worth it. Doesn't truly listen, Has become too comfortable in her job and just goes along with the motions with no real care. Find a doctor at the Perth Clinic suites - way better.

She is so uncaring and must have not been listening to what I was saying as her report was inaccurate with many incorrect facts. She obviously is not a good psychiatrist if she doesn’t actually listen to what her clients are saying. Very damaging to me personally and my medical report. Absolutely do not recommend.
