Haven't gone as didn't think that paying a fee to jump a waitlist was at all ethical. I have reported this to my own GP as given a higher % of lower socio economic families are likely to have adhd than those in higher socio economic situations his approach creates an even bigger gap between the rich and the poor to access affordable health care. It was a big red flag for me and it looks like I dodged a bullet...

All good reviews on the Google reviews page are from first time appointments, and that's how he keeps his reviews strong. However, once you get past the initial appointment dr Mander is a vile man, his main purpose is to get as much money as he can from you before you realise you're being ripped off. He's overly defensive when questioned as is awful to correspond with, nothing but condescension, bitterness, and gaslighting. I suggest going elsewhere and reporting him.

Worst experience with the staff.
Have been really unresponsive and wont transfer me money that they owe me.
Cant get anyone on the phone, have sent over 10 emails in the last month. All have been ignored. Avoid this doctor.

Went through all the back and forth emails to commence as a new patient, yet was knocked back on receipt of my paperwork. With no explanation when requested as to why Dr Mander rejected my referral. I assume it was my response to the two VERY strange questions they ask on the intake form. 1. Have you ever been the recipient of family violence? 2. Have you ever been sexually assaulted. Very very strange questions to ask when seeking an assessment for adult ADHD. Unfortunately I have been the recipient of both many many many years ago. I answered truthfully, and was knocked back for adult ADHD assessment. When I asked why I was rejected, I was not provided an explanation. Absolutely no response. Probably a good thing in hindsight, to not have handed over the thousands of dollars they request you sign up to pay, purely for a FaceTime assessment and two escripts per year. Read the reviews very carefully before you go down the path of signing up to this psych. Somehow it makes perfect sense to me why this psych doesn’t see people in person.

As mentioned previously: After your first appointment he "suggests" you to leave a positive review online, and if you don't, well...

The private management payment scheme is a rort. I'm sure he makes promises and says things that many people want to hear, but if you ever disagree with his initial "sales-pitch" and try to explain a few conflicting issues you may have with what he's said he treats you like garbage. There's no real normal doctor-patient interaction going on here.

He just reeks of a con-man that's taken advantage of a broken system.

Staff could be more helpful at times but might reflect email rather than face to face contact. Happy that I am getting treated by an expert

Able to diagnose ADHD, but aftercare on meds dosages is highly lacking. The review left on 21st of June explains this well.

Upon speaking about it to my new psychiatrist, they had other ex-Mander patients with the same experience as mine.

Very pleasant at first, his staff are unbelievably rude if you require any additional service. He forces you to sign a payment contract with a finance company (there is no other payment option) and threatens $150 penalty for a late payment . He wanted $980 upfront for the next 12 months management plan. This works out to $490 per prescription for vital medication plus appointment consultation and additional service fees etc. I guess he must know how his staff behave and treat the patients and must condone their behavior.

Awful, generally asks patients to leave a review after first appointment, and after this occurs he becomes deeply unpleasant. I’d assume most positive rescues are from this, as during “treatment” he is neglectful, nasty, and rude. Avoid this man.
