Yes, the effect is devestating and impacting, but equally it is not within his power to have avoided the hasty retirement. I feel sure that he and his family have also suffered devestating effects.

Dear Dr Kolnik was taken very ill at short notice. This is the only reason why he left suddenly and it pains me to think of how he was suffering and what he continues to do to treat his illness. I am very sure that he would never intentionally do anything to hurt his patients. He is suffering too. So very sad. Yes he is missed!

A doctor who leaves his clients with no warning is not a good doctor, how is one suppose to continue their recovery journey suppose to maintain their success without support from their own doctor who just ups and leaves and doesn't refer them to another doctor. Not only does this impact on the clients life but always the family. Pathetic really. It's not good enough to just leave I understand personal reasons do happen but at least make sure your client is still being looked after once you are gone.
