Kay Bathurst, PHD-being a health care provider with advanced degrees, this woman should never be allowed to conduct and give her opinion about child custody outcome or the mental health of the parents. She is biased towards the person who is paying her, for continued visits, etc. One of my daughters (5th grader at the time) told me repeatedly that she was sexually abused by her father-she refused to go to his home on his custody days-of course this was a problem. I would be seen as an alienator--Kay Bathurst, PHD-loves the family drama and then makes it worse. She then suggests that the daughter live with her father, because mom is making up allegations. Both girls are adults, their father does not touch them as they have been taught by me at an early age, after the outcome of this nut job, their relationship is about money, no emotion with the father at all.

This woman should actually be investigated and possibly put behind bars. She did an “evaluation” and then lied and said she did not say that my kids could have their new “half” brother at the home, while I was still breastfeeding him, he was just a baby. It is well documented that she does not have the children’s best interest at heart and she should most definitely not be allowed children. Absolutely the most despicable person I have ever met. I also believe someone should do an investigation of her finances, she seems to own an tremendous amount of expensive real estate for someone that is a court appointed evaluator. There needs to be a forensic accounting of possible sizable “payments”.

No wonder my ex-husband's coven of lawyers insisted on using Kay Bathurst. He sexually assaulted our toddler daughter and got away with it. Bathhurst's report was astoundingly misinformed.

My experience with Kay Bathurst was almost identical to those that submitted the previous reviews. She is biased, lacks all integrity and is extremely slow to produce a report. In my case she took over 14 months to issue her opinion, but demanded additional funds prior to delivery. The report was full of half truths and fabrications.
This woman should be stripped of her license and tried for fraud.

Biased doctor who will take 3x as long as any other court appointed forensic psychologist in order to issue terribly flawed and downright fraudulent report.

I had a very bad experience with this evaluator few years back. In our custody evaluation we hired her as an family expert to prepare a report. It took her a year to write the report, even though we had only one inhome visit and no follow up.!!!! When it was prepared it was full if misinformation, mistakes and outright fabrications. Ms. Bathurst obviously did not have childs best interests at heart while preparing the report and was pursuing her own agenda. In fact, the report so grossly distorted the facts in the attempt to favor my ex husband that even he was ashamed of the lies ms. Bathurst was attempting to pass as facts.This sort of conduct is inexcusable for a professional. I honestly am disappointed that someone like that is allowed to practice as family expert. Despite her outrageous claims my ex and i were able to settle and currently are able to coparent our child in a peaceful and constructive way.

I agree with the other review. She was abrasive, noticeably biased to the party who paid her fees (not court appointed), did not listen to/take into account all the facts. She made ongoing errors in her report which we didn't have the $ to go back and fix, and we found out she let my husband's ex and her spouse literally 'cheat' on their psych. evals. She ignored the basics of Psychology-when a child keeps saying "I don't know" or "I can't remember" you know that the child is hiding something or avoiding answering-it's a big red flag that was repeatedly ignored by her for my husband's kid. She also made it clear she looked down on us b/c at the time we were renting vs. owning a house (she wouldn't listen when we explained we owned a house in the county we were moving to). I work in this field and was/am embarrassed to call her a colleague. Didn't have the $ to go back and repair the damage like the other reviewer. Find someone else-for your children's sake.

The court appointed this person to our case to "evaluate" us which is called a 730. It is supposed to be an insite to our situation for custody. She did not look at all the facts, nor did she include vital information in her report to the court. She chose to ignore the most important aspects of the evaluation, and write a completely ficticious report. As a direct result of her bias report, it cost over 100K in court fees, for over five years, to undo the damage she caused. Do not allow the couts to force you into an evaluation with the woman. It's clear that she doesn't care about what is in the best interest of the children, she only cared about how much money she could make by lying.
