Biography
Dr. Calotti provides medical and surgical management for a wide spectrum of ophthalmic conditions with a special interest in cataract and refractive surgery, retinal diseases, dry eye disease, glaucoma, oculoplastic surgery and facial cosmetics. Dr. Calotti completed his Ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan. He graduated with first honors and was honored to be amongst the top ten graduating residents of all training programs of that year. Dr. Calotti also completed his post-residency fellowship training in the field of Neuro-Ophthalmology at Henry Ford Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of different ophthalmologic societies and associations including the Canadian Ophthalmological Society and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. In 2007, Dr. Calotti established the Great Lakes Eye Centre in Brantford, Ontario. He maintains hospital privileges at the Brantford General Hospital where he performs the majority of his eye surgeries. Dr. Calotti also has privileges at the Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at McMaster University, Dr. Calotti is involved in teaching Ophthalmology and Family Medicine Residents as well as Medical Students. Dr. Calotti is also a clinical instructor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo and is involved in teaching Optometry students through their Ophthalmology rotation.
