I have had skin checks for years in Sydney before moving to Gladstone and most recently, prior to seeing Dr Rigby, with a specialist outside Gladstone. I found Dr Rigby direct and proficient. Bit of a Doc Martin character in fact.
He found and removed a serious melanoma in the early stages of development which others missed.

I WROTE THE NEGATIVE COMMENT TO STEPHEN RIGBY IN REGARDS TO MYSELF BEING TYPE 1 DIABETIC HAVING A BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD BUT WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY THIS IS INCORRECT INFORMATION AS I HAD WROTE THIS REVIEW ABOUT THE WRONG DOCTOR,STEPHEN RIGBY IS A GREAT DOCTOR IN FACT ONE OF THE BEST KNOWN TO GLADSTONE, HE IS INCREDIBLY INTELLIGENT AND WITH THE KNOWLEDGE HE HAS HE IS BEYOND JUST A GP, I APOLOGIZE FOR THIS INCORRECT INFORMATION AND ARE IN THE PROCESS OF HAVING THIS DELETED

never on time, runs hours late, very rude, i am type 1 Diabetic I am of normal weight was told I eat too much and of all the wrong foods so i need to eat next to nothing when he didnt know any history of my diet, told me to not eat in between meals even though I am insulin dependent and could have a hypo attack. treated me like I was type 2 diabetic as he gave me all advise for a type 2 patient. I had a incredibly bad experience with him, I ended up writing him a letter as i couldnt get a word in at my appointment to say he has confused me with a type 2 patient and gave me advise for a type 2 diabetic, he wrote me a letter back denying all telling me its all in my head and he found it to be hysterical, even though my partner was there at the time and we were both shocked with how I was treated, and now all because i wrote a letter to him i am now banned from seeing my usual doctor at his practice that i had been seeing for over 10 years. I am now in the process of reporting him.

Dr Rigby carries out skin checks and does excisions, really knowledgable and very neat with excisions. Can only highly recommend him
