I have had all four of my children with Becky McInnis at her two different birth centers she has been at. I have nothing but good things to say. All of my experiences have been attended to with the utmost care and professionalism. I trust her completely. I love the group pre-natal classes offered at the The Birth Center and being able to participate in my own care and being given lots of good information and help to make informed decisions about my care. Love LOVE love all of my experiences with her and her staff.

Pictures of the birth were posted on flickr for anyone to see, even thought I was assured it would be posted in a private secure site. Obviously, they take your privacy very seriously. Hardly ever punctual for appointments, about 15 minutes late, I have also waited almost a hour to see her for a appointment that was scheduled. Test strips in the bathroom were 3 past their expiration date. I was given another item that was two years past its expiration date. Lots of gossiping about clients. Becky loves to joke how she has lube available if you need any.

Horrid midwives, you might as well birth at the hospital where there is some accountability. They do not practice evidence based care.

I'm a little surprised that more people haven't commented on Becky here, because I know there are SO many women/families that adore her as much as I do, and I don't believe anyone that sees her is dissatisfied. The care from Becky is so different from a normal doctor visit, because it is such personal care. A visit to Becky is like going to visit a friend, who happens to be extremely knowledgeable about health needs and has an extreme interest in your health and that of your baby. Birthing here is an amazing experience, where you have a lot of say in what goes on. It is hard to describe, but is a place you need to visit for yourself. For those who are skeptical about birthing centers and midwives, you should know that this place, while extremely homey and friendly, is also extremely safety oriented and absolutely professional. Perfection! Before visiting here, I was pretty nervous about giving birth, but with the care and knowledge I received, I was put quite at ease.

In my search for a medical practitioner to guide me through my first pregnancy, I found Becky McInnis and her birthing center to be everything I was looking for! She's a CNM meaning she has much more training than a direct entry midwife and more privileges such as the ability to write prescriptions. The midwifes there are incredibly knowledgeable and relay that knowledge to their patients. They don't force any tests but explains the pros and cons of everything and leave the final decision up to the parents. Everyone is friendly and truly cares about our whole family. They're super flexible and want this experience to be tailored to my desires while they are the guards of safety. All appointments I haven't had to wait, I could be seen as early in the pregnancy as I wanted, they give me tons of facetime. They've even let me bring extended family to appointments and given "unnecessary" ultrasounds so my out of town parents could see their first grandchild. Couldn't recommend more!
