I saw Dr. Murphy from birth to adulthood. I am so sad to leave her because she knows me so well but I am too old to be seeing a pediatrician still (22). She always helped with any problems I had and did all of the tests possible until we found a solution. She is very delicate and listens to all of your concerns and carefully considers any diagnosis. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new pediatrician for their kids. If I have kids one day I hope to be in the area and I can take them to her.

My son was born at southwest and Dr. Murphy was the on-call pediatrician. She came into the the room, told me he failed his hearing test and may be deaf. When I started crying, she shook her head in disgust and walked out. She then discharged him from the hospital. Days later he was admitted to the NICU because of a severe heart defect and numerous other very serious problems. She said she examined him. She either lied or doesn't know what she's doing. He is severely disabled but has great hearing. Also,
Her bedside manner is the worst I've ever seen.

Dr. Murphy is the worst doctor I could have chosen for my daughter... she was born at southwest and dr Murphy was the on call pediatrician at the time. At her three month appointment Dr. Murphy informed me that she had overlooked a skull fracture in my daughter. Being a new mother I immediately asked what she was going to do. Her reply was a smug laugh and she stated "its not like I can cast her head" Needless to say I switched pediatricians.

Dr. Murphy is very competent and her staff is wonderful. I always felt comfortable taking my daughter to see her. She has seen my daughter since birth but we were forced to find a new doctor as she will not accept our insurance anymore.
