We are so happy that we chose to trust our children in the care of Dr. Driscoll. He is very passionate in his work and will go beyond his duty to make sure you satisfied with the care of your children. He keeps up with his knowledge of what is current in pediatrics, and always makes our children feel special!!

The tonsils post would be humorous if it weren't so sad. As a dental professional, I'm sure I know which ENT and dentists were involved. There are only a couple who are notorious for doing this. There is no data supporting removing the tonsils for dental reasons. Tonsil removal is a risky surgery. Good for Dr. Driscoll that he advocated for your child instead of just going along. My family appreciates that courage and wisdom. Glad your child did well. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out that way.

My daughter's tonsils were huge. Everytime I saw him (or Prudence Barrett) I'd ask about them. "They're supposed to be that large in kids." Fast forward 2 years to my daughter's first dental checkup. Dentist took one look in her mouth and said, "You should really have someone look at these tonsils." When I saw Driscoll again he said that there was nothing wrong. When I mentioned that the dentist said it could have an effect on my daughter's oral development he scoffed. A week later we saw an ENT specialist. My daughter opened her mouth and he exclaimed, "Those are HUGE." Two weeks later, they were removed. Other issues: staff is crabby when you call on the phone, the waiting room smells moldy (most likely from water damage) and they try to cover it up with an air freshener. We sat waiting in the examining room one day (no lie) for 20 minutes while Driscoll stood talking to a friend in the hall. He then walks in and says, "Hi Dad, sorry for the wait." I found someone new.

My three kids went to Dr. David Driscoll for over a year. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they are good at getting you in to see the Dr. at the last minute, like the same day if your baby is ill. Dr. Driscoll was alright (very average) as a Dr., but the office itself wasn't up to my standards. The exam rooms are NOT child-friendly (they're really 'waiting rooms' - we spent most of our time in there waiting for the Dr.) They have an old scale in the corner w/ a big sign that says "Parents, keep your kids off scale". Yeah, right! I did try, but it was always a battle. There are lots of similar signs around the office and exam rooms telling kids not to touch things (even on the trash can with a foot pedal on it that opens the lid. Try keeping 3 little guys away from THAT!) Also, the whole office/facility has a musty, moldly, mildewy smell. I was happy to later find a new pediatrician who asked me lots of questions about our home and family life.
