Outstanding performance on a major pulmonary operation. Dr. Todd Robbins and his team and their great skill resulted in me not asking or requiring any pain medication ! Superlative surgeon.

this dr was so lacking in empathy it was almost like the grinch. he was never punctual for any appointment up to 2 hours late. he is getting very old and has a niche he has found in robotic surgery. the once great surgeon is now OLD and probably over worked for a man his age. there was no emotion in his eyes when i was in severe pain when i was sent home after a lung lobectomy which was excruciatingly painful. the stitches were so tight that it felt as if i were being hacked by a knife constantly. his office worked me in and he walked in without a word removed the stitches and walked out. no words at all! i was in tears from the pain i was in. is assistant had the PA write a RX for 10 pain pills. They didn't last as long as the permanent pain i am in. when confronted about it he nonchalantly replyed " Probably nerve damage from my robot scrapping the ribs." My whole underarm is numb. i have permanent nerve damage that causes my right arm to sting the entire length of the upper right arm constantly. this is 2 months later. He has become his machine. I filed a complaint with the hospital. I never heard back from either of them.

Had lower right lung lobectomy now 4 yrs ago. Never saw xrays, scan either before or after. Lots of pain in ribs and upper back so went back 3 mths later and this guy actually asked me if I'd heard of tough love. He told me I needed to practice it. Finally my oncologist found severe osteoporosis and 3 roptured disk. Never had bad problems before surgery and based on my experience with this doctor, I believe it happened during the surgery. I know he had nothing to do with the osteoporosis but again, it never hurt prior to the surgery and now I can barely stay in one position for over 30 minutes without pain. He didn't care and did not do any preoperative tests to determine or anticipate the problems created by his carelessness. My oncologists has had me on fentanyl patches and other opiods ever since just to tolerate the pain. Tough love, horrible doctor, worse surgeon.

We have been thoroughly informed and treated with courtesy, respect and caring. Because of the nature of the diagnosis (starting with the PCP and referrals to 3 other specialties, we continue to be completely satisfied with the process of discovery of the condition that needs to be treated and all the physicians to whom we have been referred. I feel we are in competent hands to deal with this surgical procedure that literally holds the life of my husband of 50 years in his hands. We trust and have faith in his ability based on our experience to date.

I am totally surprised that this man still has a license to practice medicine. He was involved in my father's surgery. An all day procedure. A week later, we are told that the pathology report did not show cancer. Good tissue was cut out. The cancer that was to be cut out was still inside my father's chest. A two week hospital stay. A life threatening surgical procedure. An arrogant surgeon who never took accountability for the whole mess. My father died 18 months later. And this guy is still practicing.... Need surgery? Better find a competent surgeon.
