I've been coming here for years. I used to be very happy (complimentary freshly pressed carrot juice, hand massages while you are having your teeth cleaned, chair warmers etc). All of that made the extra 40% you pay at this office worth it, you felt like you were at a spa. Since covid, early 2020, all of those niceties have been stopped, which is fine under the circumstances, but the price continues to be 40% higher then other places. I feel they need to re-visit their pricing because they've taken away services but have not adjusted their prices.

The staff are polite and seem to help you but the costs are significant. I haven going to Dana for16 years. My last few visits felt like sales calls. Invisalign seemed to be the solution to every problem and the costs are ridiculous. I am looking for another holistic dentist. If anyone knows of a good one, please note them on this page.

Very polished staff and dentists. Very similar to my medical spa, pushy with add-ons and invisalign. Not what I expected. Tried my best to stay open minded and went back a few more times. More costly than my previous dental office with little to no difference and more waiting time. Sad and disappointing for me as I really wanted that alternative/holistic dentist.

I've been going to Dr. Dana's office for the better part of a year. Great group of people. Very polite and professional. They helped me with two dental implants and crowns. Feel like my younger self again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Walked in because I was looking for a new dentist. Saw the no perfume/scent sign and approved. Santized my hands with the santizer provided, talked to them for a minute or so got a business card and then left. Then realized the santizer was scented and I had to rinse my hands with my own alcohol swabs before I got home because the scent was bothering me. So, not impressed.

I visited Dr. Dana’s office as a new patient after seeing all
The great google reviews. Her dental assistant Rosie was great. However they charged me $366 for initial appointment which included Oral examination and X-ray. I was not told by anyone booking the appointment that their rates are 40% higher than standard and even though I have 100% insurance coverage I had to pay more than $100 out of pocket. Even after raising my concern they charged me the full cost which means they value money more than patients. I would not recommend this place.

I have been a patient for six years. I had many old mercury fillings removed and replaced by Dr. Colson, and it was painless and very well done. No swelling or discomfort. Since then I’ve had my teeth straightened and done routine hygienes. The staff is always courteous and genuinely caring. I feel like I’m in very good hands. Thank you!!!

I’ve been coming to her since I was a kid because my parents knew her and were obsessed that she’s the only dentist in the GTA that offers holistic approach rather than the traditional methods. But since she is pricey, my parents couldn’t afford for me to visit frequently.

Last times I went there were a nightmare. She will get emotional about her personal life while working and accidentally seal the last four adjacent teeth (forgets to floss after wards too) because her assistant was useless in reminding her to finish off with flossing, dumping the floss on my chest. Later on that day I had to break the seal by using a sharp floss from my gums and up. It literally felt I was going to rip all my teeth out. The last time I went, she rushed my appointment. Was very abrasive with my gums and teeth.

Now that I’m older, definitely not going back.

I love coming to Dr. Colson's office. You rarely have to wait, but if you have to it is never more than 5-10 minutes, just enough to have a cup or two of their complimentary ginger tea. I have always been treated exceptionally well by all staff.I actually look forward to coming to the dentists office!

Biography

With Wellness Based Dentistry™ clients are receiving dental care that preserves more than their teeth. With a strong belief that the mouth indicates the general well-being of the whole body, Dr. Dana Colson, along with her Associates, are bringing together leading-edge technology and natural medicine to give clients award-winning smiles that enhance their lives. In her own words: Having graduated from Dentistry in 1977 from the University of Toronto, I was fascinated with how the health of the body was reflected in the mouth. My interest in dentistry stemmed from my fear of dentists. I chose the profession of dentistry because I was determined to overcome my fear of dentistry and help others. The more I learned about the art and science the more my fears diminished. I believe that our clients need to be provided with significant information about their mouth and the various options that are available to them so that we can co-diagnose and co-explore the different opportunities together. Today the technology allows us to create amazing results with minimally invasive dentistry.
