Only have been to the Associates in Gastroenterology office a couple of times where Dr. Swendsen practices, and let me just say I've had the absolute best experience with the staff and everyone in the office. Dr. Swendsen is very personable, he shows that he cares and he is great at what he does! I just had my Colonoscopy procedure done to help with some issues that I was having that had been affecting me for most of the year on and off, every single staff member took care of me and was extremely knowledgeable!! My procedure had no complications and helped fixed the issues I was having and I feel so relieved after everything was done. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Swendsen, and would refer anyone having any similar or related issues to the Associates in Gastroenterology office. I'm so grateful to the staff working there, and I'm really glad I made the decision to call this office for help when my Primary Care doctor was not giving me the results I needed. Thanks again!!

His office staff prepared me for the proceedure in a gentle and thorough way. Their attitude towards their patients as I personally observed them is excellent. Office staff is definitely a win. The staff at the clinic were exceptional in their interaction with me being pleasant, helpful, and obviously professional. The facility was clean and functional. A big plus for me was the IV was painless. The procedure was quick and the recovery was pleasant because of the staff. It is hard to describe a colonoscopy as pleasant but it is as much as to be expected. This will be my go to place for such things. Dr. Swendsen came in before the procedure and pleasantly checked up on everything that needed to be in place for the procedure, explained what was about to happen, and answered any questions. He was there after the procedure to explain what happened to my and my wife, presented me with the formal write up of the procedure to include pictures, etc. I had not seen that in the prior times I have had this procedure. Very thorough and gave me a level of confidence I had not experienced before. The whole experience was just so far above my prior experiences. Not to say I had any bad experience before but these people to a person were just so much more than I expected.

The exam/procedure was fine--very smooth. However, the pathology report, promised in 5-7 days, was not available until hard prodding 18 days later; then the wrong report was provided. I self-paid, with the understanding that there may be "some" additional pathology fees. Turns out those fees just "might" be 2X the doctor's own fees! I found the way this was handled to be very disingenuous.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Swendsen. If he is your doctor, rest assured, you are in very capable hands. His medical skills and expertise are excellent. Dr. Swendsen provides very thorough and comprehensive care so that your treatment plan is effective and your best chance for success. He has a very approachable and compassionate demeanor which makes communication and treatment planning comfortable. He includes the patient in care planning by listening to the patient's point of view and concerns/wishes. He is very responsive and attentive to needs that arise between appointments. You can't go wrong by choosing him as your doctor.

Awesome Doctor! Helped us out in Hawaii when we had an emergency. Cares about his patients and is willing to do whatever needs to be done in order to heal. Highly Reccomended!!!
