Gave me wrong mg of cancer medicine in repeated infusions over months that previous oncologist gave. I repeatedly asked Dr. Hodson and staff to double check because I had the treatment for a long time before and it didn’t feel the same after Dr. Hodson started after I moved here. Multiple people there said, including Dr. Hodson, that I was receiving exact same amount. Not true. I had to order my own records to show. No apology. Cancer that was gone under previous doctor came back. She was seriously lacking in knowledge of immunotherapy and latest developments in my opinion.

I do not think in all the years I have lived (octogenarian) I have been more satisfied with the quality of care of not only Dr. Hodson and Katie (her top nurse) but also the complete support staff!!! I am living proof that Dr Hodson is one, if not the top Doctor in her field. She studies her patients and knows with knowledge the path to take and works with many other professionals and her patients to select the treatment that suits the patient and type of Cancer that is identified. She also has insight to think outside the box and the contacts to search for the best specialist or surgeon possible, she gets the job done!!! I have trusted her with my life and am not disappointed!!! Dr Hodson is my choice for being the best of the best and recommend Dr Hodson with Gem State Cancer and Blood Specialists without hesitation!!!

There’s sometimes a wait time but that never bothers me because the patient always comes first and I know she’s giving her full attention for as long as needed with someone who needs her. Her knowledge is not siloed but unusually broad and robust. I fly in from out of town/state just to see her in my continued care. Always goes above and beyond with compassion.

Suddenly, I became incapacitated from what has been determined to be an iliac crest lesion causing unbearable hip, right teste, and right lower back pain. I spent 5 days inpatient and then 1.5 months diagnosing my condition. I completed a right iliac crest, several back, and one neck biopsy before I was it was determined to be stage IV Hodgkin's lymphoma. Dr. Hodson, likes to establish a clear trajectory before commencing treatment(s). For e.g., in my case, with radiation and chemo, I immediately began showing promise so she terminated a portion of my treatment. Bleomycin was removed midtreatment to limit long-term respiratory/pulmonary damaging. She truly does consider her patients’ long/short-term interest’s above all. She is a wealth of knowledge, lending transparency in her methodological practice, in contrast to the newest leading contemporary findings. She also acknowledged the numerous benefits and empirical evidence of holistic medicines like cannibus. She quietly supported vaporizing/eating CBD/THC in place of dexamethasone, ondasentron, and other awful nausea medications. I am grateful, Dr. Hodson is my angel, she saved my life!
