$3200 for 4 day course and in a group session?
This issue of his superiority in his model to any other models and to any other CSATs is likely due to an inferiority complex. Certainly, learning more about the trauma and agreeably abuse I caused my wife is important. Frankly, as much as I would like to say this would prevent the compulsive behavior, it does not. For partners of this type of trauma and abuse, I would humbly submit, seeing their betrayers new behavior would help the process of healing. He does little to help the "abuser" heal their inner wounds to for a changed life.

He believes his work is far superior to any CSATs. No resources for betrayed partners and doesn't work with anyone individually anymore. Without additional resources I think it is extremely difficult for any person / relationship to recover (truly recover and flourish) I think Dr Doug Weiss and others may have a better approach.

Omar is a bit of a one-trick pony. He’s developed a model that is very good at helping people who have behaved compulsively to understand how this behaviour has affected their partners. But Omar and his one size fits all model do not attempt at all to help the person who has behaved compulsively understand why they did. Seeing Omar will make your spouse feel validated but will do nothing to help your relationship succeed.

When I learned of my partners double life I was completely shell-shocked and paralyzed. It wasn’t until I met Dr. Minwalla that I was able to find safety & begin to truly heal. Dr. Minwalla is a lifesaver. I am so grateful to him for his trauma model, and his commitment to champion this model.

I attended Dr Minwall's 8 day intensive after decades of deceptive and compulsive sexual behavior. I can honestly say his work changed my life. He doesn't just focus on the addiction. That's only a small part of my problem. He helps unearth childhood trauma, personality defects, thinking patterns and emotions. But more than anything, he helped me understand my partner's trauma. The 13 dimensions of trauma caused by the car crash of the discovery of my deceptive and secret sexual life. I now understand the pain I've caused, and have a roadmap for how to support my partner what she feels unsafe and feels shattered all over again. The decades of living selfishly, gaslighting ansd manipulating my partner, raging and resenting her, was an abusive system that I now must own. I abused her. Now we are on a road to reocovery as I try to keep he dimensions of trauma close, continue to get help for my personality issues, and work the 12 steps or SAA.

We are a better couple for Dr Minwalla and I know we would not have survived without him.

To say Dr. Minwalla saved my life is not an exaggeration. Prior to my contact with Dr. M, I WASTED 15 years of my life with my husband in and out of "s*x addict” and “couples therapy" with alleged specialized "S*x addict" experts. Dr. Minwalla was the FIRST and ONLY doctor who actually diagnosed the root cause of my husband’s "sexually addictive behaviors". He went beyond the superficial “s*x addict” label. By diagnosing and providing me with the information related to the root cause of my husband’s " s*x addict" label, I was able to finally understand Personality Disordered features and traits were behind his “s*x addict” label. If ANY C-SAT or s*x addict “therapist” who have appropriately diagnosed my husband and informed me that he had features and traits of several personality disorders, including SOCIOPATHY, I could have avoided 15 years of being subjected to medical malpractice, spousal ABUSE and my daughter being sexually abused by a predator! I was NEVER warned by any prior therapist of the DANGERS toward my children of being with a husband who just “looked at p*rn and had a few affairs”. The comprehensive information that Dr. Minwalla provided me with, now gave me a new found clarity instead of destructive hope. I was able to see ABUSE and how the "mental health community" protected my husband while it allowed my children and myself to knowing stay with an abuser and predator. Thanks to Dr. M, I was now able to have the information I needed to make the decision to leave! Until this point, I was trapped in a life of displaced hopefulness, lies, fake sobriety “benchmarks”. If not for Dr. M, I would have been subjected to a lifeless life of insidious abuse and crazy-making. My life would have been continued down a path of darkness and confusion. I directly regained my life as a result of Dr. Minwalla! And all along the way, he was direct and compassionate. I am deeply grateful!!! Words cannot adequately begin to express the positive and profound impact that he had on my life and the lives of my children.

Dr Minwalla and his intensive were exactly who and what I needed, not to mention exactly who my partner needed me to see.

A good therapist needs wisdom, knowledge, patience, a plan and a great b/s detector. Dr Minwalla has all of these, with a great couch-side manner to make them easier to appreciate. I am encouraged and empowered and know that his guidance and his insight are going to help me truly change my life for the better. For that, I am and will forever be grateful.

Dr. Minwalla broke my partner out of a lifelong pattern of sexual compulsive behavior and deceptive practices. After seeing multiple therapists and considering many inpatient treatment centers, my partner decided to enroll in Dr. Minwalla's 8 day intensive. Even though he had recently gotten sober from sexually acting out, he still had very little awareness and depth of understanding of how he got there and why the behaviors were so destructive and abusive. Dr. Minwalla takes a firm but compassionate approach, which I believe is essential to break the powerful spell of sexual addiction. Dr. Minwalla also takes the most partner focused approach and is driven by his sensitivity to the impact on the partner/spouse/victim of sexual addiction.

I can't say enough positive things about Dr. Minwalla. The recovery from this condition is a long and difficult journey, but he cracks it open in such an illuminating way. And he includes the partner in the process, further helping to break the pattern of leaving the victimized spouse in the dark.

He's brilliant. Compassionate. Fearless in his work.

If you are considering him to get help, make the phone call. Working with him is life changing, and no one else handles this problem as comprehensively as he does. If you have deceived your partner and want to make it right, Dr. M will help him/her by extension of treating you.

Dr. Minwalla has been the only therapist who has been able to help my husband and truly understand my trauma from his S.A. I will always be grateful for his compassion to us both.
