Dr. Izfar is great. She is knowledgeable and talented and is the type of doc you want to perform your surgery. Dealing with her office, trying to get a message to the doctor, getting your work paperwork filled out, getting into your appointment anywhere near the time it was scheduled- is all a complete circus. Once surgery is performed, the general feeling you get is good luck and call us for anything- except they don’t answer, do not return phone calls, do not fill prescription requests for DAYS. You essentially have to hound them to do their jobs- it’s very disappointing. Another bit of fun is waiting for hours on end for your appointment while the woman working the window and phone doesn’t wear her mask (but you have to!), and eats so loudly the entire waiting room is grossed out. Oh, and not enough room to even sit in the waiting room. People were standing outside in the hallways.

My experience with her has been nothing but positive. I recommend her to anyone who needs this type of doctor. And I can't say enough nice things about her assistant Wendy! She was really a life saver when it came down to submitting all the right paperwork to my employer for time off after surgery. I can really trust both of them to have my best interest at heart.

I've been seeing Dr Izfar in San Antonio for about a year now. She is a colo-rectal specialist. She works in a larger practice and available in several different locations. She's done a colonoscopy and hemmeroidectomy for me - as well as treating more minor issues. I'd checked out several other specialists before finding her and she is BY FAR better. She has an outstanding 'bedside manner' and that is important in this specialty as it isnt easy to talk about this area of health for most people. Her staff is professional - her insurance staff knowledgeable and helpful. I'm sticking with her and highly recommend her to others!
