Dr Chander was my pediatrician for a short time when I was a kid. When my son was born I had forgotten who my pediatrician was and we went through a lot of doctors. When my daughter was born 4 years after my son my mom suggested dr Chander. We went to him and have been there ever since. My children are now 11&15 and we will be there until they turn 18 (or he retires). Dr Chander is amazing with the kids. When they were babies he would allow them to see and touch his instruments so they weren’t so scared of him. Now that they are older he treats them as the patient and not the parents. Meaning when he comes in he asks the kids what’s going on first and than confirms with the parent. I like this because it makes the kids feel like they have a say in their care. He takes the time to explain everything he is doing and his diagnosis. He has even taken the time to pull out his medical books and go over things with us. I remember one of our first sick visits was for an ear infection and had me come over and look in the ears too so I could see the diffference between an infected ear and a healthy ear. The way he treats his patients (and parents) you can tell he is one that truly loves what he does. There are times (not often) that we have a bit of a wait but I’m ok with it because I know he is just giving another child the same great care and attention that he will be giving my child once we are seen.
