Great, caring, compassionate doctor! He takes his time getting to know you before he just starts throwing his opinion around. I like his flexibility and his calming effect he has when he talks.

Would not recommend this dr. He uses computer programs to diagnose and do psychiatric evaluations, which is ok if carefully reviewed & appropriate to the client. On the other hand, can be quite harmful, uneithical and poor practice. Clients cannot always be copy, cut & paste. Sufficent evidence and proper assessment must present to make a diagnosis. Common sense, right?
Myself, along with other counselors and professionals believe that it is scarey to think this man is completing psychological evaluations. Just because someone has a Phd behind their name or decades of experience does not ensure one will receive the best care that they deserve to have. His evaluations are insanely expensive & not even billed at a medicaid or medicare rate for those who are self pay. Unless u are looking to spending about a grand right away, do not see this dr.
I significantly question this man's ethical and moral compass, along with his ability to advocate for his patients, and his ability to assess, diagnose or treat. There is nothing worse than sharing the most intimate details of your life and put your trust in someone to speak for you; to feel mis represnted and betrayed. Shocked, in utter disbelief, and the horror is the best way i can describe how i felt upon reviewing his work. Even the most honest and well educated make mistakes, & i had to confirm that this file wasnt accidently used from a different client. That is how foreign this evaluation read to me. I still cannot find the words or reason why this was done the way it was. It cost me money out of my own pocket to receive a second opinion. Additionally, i allowed other professsionals along with a prominent psychiatrist to review it, who asked permission to use it as a teaching aide on what not to do for his students at the university of bellevue. To diagnose 3 different personality disorders is asinine, usually the psychologist is careful and somewhat reserved in diagnosing one. Theres so much more that goes into an evaluation and diagnosis than a computer generated module. As mentioned, sufficient evidence must be present. I just dont feel enough information gathering, research, ruling out, theraputic sessions or listening was given to make the evaluationthat or recommendations that he did. Can u imagine if this was used in court? Im so grateful i got a second opinion. Others werein agreement with me, as well in shock that this "dr" is completing evaluations. No, i absolutely would not recommend this person to anyone.
Anything written in your medical record will stay for life, thus it is important who you use to provide your medical or psychological care. Review your providers. Do your research. Be your own advocate. If something doesnt feel right or sound right, it probably isnt. Trust your gut.

Dr. Charles is AMAZING with children. I was referred by a friend who sees him (an adult) but wanted help mostly for my teen son who was having issues in school and at home. I've seen a huge difference and thank this man! He truly cares about these kids with his heart.
