Dr. Powers is an excellant Surgeon. She is also one of the most caring Dr.s I have ever known. Her pre-op and post-op care is fabulous! I will use her in the future for all my cosmetic needs.

I HAVE BEEN A NURSE FOR OVER 40 YEARS AND HAVE WORKED WITH ALOT OF DOCTORS IN INTENSIVE CARE. WE GET TO KNOW WHO IS GOOD AND WHO IS NOT SOMEONE WE WOULD RECOMMEND. DR POWERS IS THE REAL DEAL. SHE IS A METICULOUS SURGEON WITH HER PATIENTS AND WATCHES THEM LIKE A HAWK WHILE THEY ARE IN THE HOSPITAL - SHE WANTS THINGS DONE HER WAY FOR A REASON - ANYONE NOT PUTTING IN 110% TO CARE FOR HER PATIENTS BETTER RUN FOR COVER. HER FOLLOW UP CARE IS EXCELLENT - ANY NURSE WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN HAVE A GREAT OPERATION BUT IF THE DOCTOR RARELY CHECKS ON YOU OR DOES NOT ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS IT CAN AFFECT HOW THINGS TURN OUT. DR POWERS WILL CALL YOU TWICE A DAY OR MORE IF NECESSARY TO MAKE SURE YOU FEEL SECURE AND NOT ALONE. WAIT TIME FOR AFTER SURGERY VISITS IS SHORT AND YOU WILL NOT FEEL RUSHED - SHE ANSWERS ALL YOUR QUESTIONS SO YOU FEEL FULLY INFORMED. HER STAFF WORK AS A TEAM AND OFFER GREAT SUPPORT. Dr. Powers puts on a good act as if she knew about rhinoplasty but gave me a bad nose job. She told me could do what I asked and gave me another. When I said something about it she would try and play games with your head like that is a nice nose I think it looks nice but I (me) was the one that paid the money!! And this is MY face and I didn't like it! But what made me upset was instead of saying she couldn't actually do the surgery or recommend you to someone who could she took my money. I would really think at five times before going to her. Because of her I have a huge knot in my nose and you can look directly inside my nose. It's like she didn't even care. Maybe she's good at breast implants or something else but rhinoplasty isn't her specialty in my book. I wasted my money and hate my nose!

I have been to a few plastic surgeons consults. So far I have found her to be the most knowledgeable. she made me completely comfortable, answered all my questions and was honest in how things go with breast aug. surgery. Previously, I had went to another doctor who basically told me to put this bra on and shoved silicone bags in the bra to pick my size. No measuring… nothing. Dr. Powers measured and took the time to educate me in my decision making process. 5 star type of doctor for my consult.

Dr Powers was my plastic surgeon when I had my mastectomy and needed the tissue expander placed. As I was only 30 and I needed surgery ASAP I did not initally realize that Dr Powers did NOT provide with all my options. She neglected to mention there was a procedure for which I was a good candidate, and I'm sure the reason was because it was not a procedure she is able to perform. I went to see another surgeon for a 2nd opinion who told about a DIEP even though it would require me to go to another more specialized doctor. Needless to say I dropped Dr Powers and went with the specialized surgeon. Also, I would wait for up to 2 hours for Dr Powers just for a 10 min appointment to get my tissue expander filled as she scheduled herself so tight, if you see her I recommend you get at least a 2nd opinion.

Powers referred me for a second opinion to another doctor. I had to pay that doctor a consultation fee, which was okay until I learned that the second doctor was referring me to yet antoher another doctor. Of course the third doctor wanted a consultation fee, too. After paying two consultation fees--one to Powers and one to the second doctor--I went to a doctor who was far more knowledgeable than Powers about revision nose work and he charged me no consultation fee. Do your research carefully if you're looking for revision nose work and I suggest staying away from Powers for such an operation. She may be very knowledgeable about plastic surgery, but not nose revision work. I wasted time and money at her office and I'm sorry to say, the second doctor she sent me to, as well.
