Dr Carl is awful. He refused to give my husband a shingles vaccine , until my he verified if it was covered. This is a preventative vaccine for adults over 50, like the flu vaccine . His staff should have verified if covered. We are covered, so my husband have to drive back another day for the vaccine. I hope they don’t expect a co-pay, because it should have been done the first time. The staff isn’t responsive when you come to the desk, they ignore you. Very unprofessional MD and practice. Shame on NYU

Dr Carl helped me save $105 on my high blood pressure meds. That will be $420 a year out of my pocket savings. And it saved my insurance company even more. I was on $89 a month meds and when I recently went in for renewal, I brought with me "Leslies List.com" which has all prices of medicines on a comparative chart. I told him I respect his choice of treatment but if I can save money, I can be more compliant with my meds. Dr Carl split the prescription for the "combo" drug into two prescriptions at 90 units. I went to the drug store and in stead of $89 a month with a $50 copay per month. I got 90 days of the same stuff for $45.00 flat. No copay needed. Dr Carl is a caring listening doctors, but he is also the future of healthcare. Doctor's that care about costs of healthcare for their patients are the future. Now I can use that $400 a year to join a health club or take yoga classes.
