I was assigned Dr Metzel to perform a C&P evaluation in mid-July. These evalutions always make my anxiety rise a level. Dr. Metzel was very professional. I appreciate that he allowed me to speak at length about my issues which allowed me to feel at ease and lowered my anxiety. Dr Metzel conducted one of the better C&P evalutions I've had.

giving this guy 1 star is to much. Horrible, clearly there to collect a check from the VA and doesn't mind telling you so

Dr. Metzel was very informative and helpful. I was sent to Dr. Metzel for a VA evaluation for PTSD. Dr. Metzel was very helpful in explaining to me the various symptoms of PTSD and also what I should expect when dealing with my PTSD. I think Dr. Metzel did a very good job in his evaluation of my condition.

(Early 2018) This "doctor" was combative and argumentative before he had even introduced himself. I had been sent for a PTSD/TBI evaluation by the VA. He blamed the disshoveled apearance of his office and clothing on a recent sale of "this office' and current move to the new one. He wore sandals and a dirty shirt, answered his cell phone several times during my visit, and challenged nearly every answer I gave. He claimed that 90% of veterans don't like his finding but he gets paid well for his opinions so he doesn't care. His report stated that I Googled PTSD/TBI symptoms and had no ailments (Even now, I don't know what the symptoms are because I have never looked them up). I lost benefits that 5 other doctors had found to be service connected and compensatable. Not only should he never be allowed around US Vets, he should not have a license to practice. I would expect so much more from someone with his numerous degrees, certifications and training ..... Each that he enjoys bragging about, endlessly.
