TERRIBLE DOCTOR!

HE IS NOT A CARDIOLOGIST (as per CPSO). He is merely licensed in Internal Medicine, but he advertises himself as a cardiologist. His clinic is focused on seeing cardiovascular patients.

Both my mother and my father were his patients for about 1 year. WE HAVE NEVER SEEN DR. HOMAT IN PERSON DURING THIS TIME (APRIL 2022 – MARCH 2023) even though all COVID restrictions were lifted in April 2022, But this doctor preferred to communicate only over the phone. He called my parents only twice over the past 1-year period and each time was 1-3 months after an Echo exam. Given my parents were over 75 years old and needed to be paid attention more closely.
MY FATHER EVENTUALLY HAD A HEART ATTACK about 1 month (27 days) after his last Echo exam, while Dr. Arman Homat was never able to diagnose anything with my father. His practice is only focused on how to charge OHIP the most by requesting different tests in his clinic.

My mother was referred to Dr. Homat for her Arrhythmia. while she was his patient her arrhythmia got worse. ER Physicians said they cannot do anything and her cardiologist aka Dr. Homat should see her. However, he would not see her and we were told by his very rude receptionist that he would only see her every six months! After begging them and saying that my mother has not been able to do her daily tasks, he gave some tests and prescribed a medication that almost killed my mother.
Please avoid him! Such a horrible, inhumane and irresponsible physician

unfortunately the staff are so rude and overall satisfactory based on my previous experiences is not as expected.

I am so appreciative for what Dr. Homat did to save my life. Amazing doctor, very thorough, intelligent and guy. Highly recommend him.

Good listener and very knowledgable. Had been weak all the time and no one found out why. He diagnosed my heart condition and sent me for open heart surgery. Had two arteries with more than 90% obstruction. Thanks. He saved my life.
