Long and short, I had a successful tibia plateau surgery. A number of months in (approx. 6-8) the pain and edema continued to increase and the leg began to get increasingly crooked. His comments and remedy? Almost verbatim... "That's how your leg is now". Just accept it essentially. He gave me a cortisone shot and sent me on my way despite my concerns. Roughly 18 months after the surgery, a second opinion done showed the leg abandoned to deformity (that could have easily been referred for a stage of bracing and aftercare) now likely requires a complete replacement due to massive cartilage loss. The loss was simply because it wasn't braced. Zero aftercare. My jobs done. Peace out. I was an informed patient as medically, I've had my challenges. Dr. MacIntyre's surgeon-esque "God complex" (which isn't uncommon in the field), lack of aftercare, accountability, and general compassion created medical issues that could have been completely avoided. The care and desire on my end to heal was there. I was failed in my SOS as the care went awry. I hope he, despite being a skilled surgeon, stops treating patients as if they were on an assembly line and invest more in their healing and recovery, and less on simply cashing the check.

Dr McIntyre is a very professional and excellent doctor of orthopedics. He will make you feel very comfortable and he s always well prepared and very positive in his demeanor which makes a patient trust him to the upmost. I couldn’t have ask for better and he s the best and I’ve never settled for less. Fantastic my surgeries were successful. He was very able and stopped the infections of my fingers and feet.

After personally seeing his work throughout the process, I would not let this person cut a hotdog for me or my family. He has shown to be an egotistical "professional" that is willing to blame anyone and/or anything other than himself for failure. Additionally, the administration of Emerge Ortho answer to him instead of the other way around. Within that practice, he is considered "God".
I would suggest going to ANYONE other than Neil MacIntyre!

My husband had a forklift fall on him and caused him to have a humerus open fracture. Dr, McIntyre did emergency surgery to save his arm. He is still currently taking care of my husband though he has many patients I feel like my husband is top priority (that is how the his staff make you feel)

Dr. McIntyre did my surgery. Did have some rescheduling due to traumas that came in, but he is the best in town for special cases.

I have only wonderful things to say about Dr. Neil MacIntyre. He recently saved my Sister's life by recognizing the symptoms and dangers of a potential pulmonary embolism. We were at his office for a follow-up appt.as my sister (his patient) had suffered a pelvic fracture in a car accident 2 weeks before. My Sister did indeed have lung clots and could have died had Dr. MacIntyre not been attentive and proactive by sending us to the ER. What more can you ask for in a care provider? Thank you(again) Dr. MacIntyre!

Dr MacIntyre is a very good Dr only thing he has a lot of emergency so runs late.I recommend him highly for any trauma surgery.
