Unfortunately, I also had to deal with his arrogance and rudeness! I was accepted for the xtrac excimer laser through my insurance company and he started me on a steroid shampoo (which didn't really work) as well as tar. I tried to tell him that tar does not work for me and that it makes it worse. He CUT ME OFF while I was trying to discuss this with him and told me, he had been doing this for so many "X" amount of years and that I can go see another dermatologist if I want to. I was shocked... He was going way too fast I could barely understand which product he was wanting me to switch on and off and which was for the head or the body. When I asked him to please slow down he said, "This young man over here will explain it to you" and walked out of the room! Didn't even ask me if I had anymore questions. I'm assuming the guy was a medical assistant of some form, I am not sure. He had someone else in the room with him taking notes, maybe an intern? Anyway, I was late for like 3 of my appointments by like 8-10 minutes and I explained to them that it was hard to find a babysitter because I'm a single mother to a 2 year old and I have a lot going on.... my father recently passed away and I am a college student. The laser treatment literally takes like 10 minutes or less to do when I get back there!! One time I did have to reschedule. I had about 5 treatments or so and they only billed my insurance for one. I had to keep asking about my topical steroid treatment which was in combination with my laser treatment and NO ONE would get back with me. I had already asked the lady who does the laser treatment on me and she said Dr. Wiley usually would recommend his patients to start using the topical suspension twice a day so that is what I started doing. When I left this message, his wife called me back the next day and was very aggressive in her tone and was saying "Now I listened to this voicemail 3 times to make clear" YOU decided to change your treatment plan and didn't feel like any of your treatments were working. I said NO, the medical assistant or whoever does my laser treatment told me that your husband usually recommends using their steroid treatments twice a day if they are not effective since I could NOT speak to Dr. Wiley himself about just SIMPLY changing to a different steroid cream, there's tons out there. Then she got him on the phone and basically said again, I changed my own treatment, can't make it to my appointments and I need to see another dermatologist. He is the only dermatologist in my area (OKC) who has the xcimer laser. The next derm is 50 miles away. Unbelievable. I had no warning or nothing as to the late policy. Usually places have a 15 min window which I didn't even get close to on being late for my appointment where I literally sit in the waiting room for 5 minutes and get called back for a 10 min or less procedure. Now I am left without any treatment for my condition. I will never recommend him as a dermatologist. I have no idea how he is still in business. He didn't even have any before and after's for the other services he offers, has a horrible attitude, huge ego and spends barely any time with his patients. Maybe he needs a refresher course or retire!

I got laser hair removal done some years ago by this incompetent prick and I do not remember how much I paid. Red flags should have went up when he showed me a news channel 4 clip of the procedure. I was young and dumb...I should have never let him touch me! Then he gets sick and his assistant finished out the last few sessions....another mistake, but again, I was young and dumb. The procedure was incomplete/didn't work/ wasted money....leaving ingrown hairs and unsightly hyper-pigmentation. A year later I scheduled a follow up appointment with to discuss the procedure being incomplete and he was an ass...it was then that I saw the forrest for the trees. He said "screw you" in so many words. This is why he has health issues. You can't go around doing people any kind of way. Cancel your appointment and go see someone else.

Dr Wiley diagnosed me with adult acne, and Roseacea. He said there was laser treatment that could be very beneficial but I would need to get it approved through my insurance before I could even make an appointment. I called my insurance company (BCBS) and they said it was a covered procedure so I called his office back to make an appt and was told I would have to provide the BCBS approval in writing or pay 50% up front. I explained they would have to file a pre-determination of benefits to get this in writing and they refused. Then they fired me as a patient. I contacted his office manager (Cynthia Wiley, his wife) and she was very pleasant to deal with. After several emails back and forth she promised to file with my insurance to get approval for the procedure. The insurance company never received this from their office and she has failed to return my calls and emails. Once the disagreement about the insurance came about, the incompetence throughout the entire office became obvious.

Wiley is a rude, arrogant ass and I don't trust him. He insisted on getting me into an exam room without my husband, claiming the law prevented even family members from being present. I checked with his licensing board after I left and was told Wiley was wrong about the law. He either didn't know (which he should have), or was purposely lying to me to get me in the room without my husband being present. I filed a complaint with his licensing board about his conduct.

Was told CLARENCE WILEY that my insurance would pay for two procedures that were done. A month after the second one I got a bill for $1600. In between the first procedure and the second I had to go to my regular doctor and he saw the stitches that he said had been in way too long and would leave scarring and it ended up being true. Talking to him it sounds like he knows his stuff but the experience proved that he doesn't really care..

Ridiculous. He is a prick. I work in the health care field and I have NEVER had a physician charge 5 dollars a minute to speak with an insurance company. I have no idea how he even has patients. I wait for 45 minutes in the waiting room then he informed me instead of dealing with my insurance I should just pay the 1300 dollars in cash. WOW.

staff didnt have me fill out the proper paperwork and didnt offer me an SPF that he recommended at his business. Could not get the prescription filled because of their screw up . When I went back to fill out paperwork he tried to charge me $5 a minute (thats right a minute) to speak with the insurance company. He was rude about it and I will never return to him or recommend anyone. I was thrilled to have an african-american as a DR. and it was a nightmare!.
