I would strongly recommend that patients avoid this doctor. His diagnosis and treatment turned out to be completely wrong. Dr. Heckman recommended time consuming and expensive out of system physical therapy with his close personal friend. The therapy did not help. Then he tried an injection. Just before the injection he had to call the therapist to determine where he should inject. It did not help. Finally he recommended some ointment. It turned out I needed surgery. He did not inform that his charges for the injection would exceed my insurance payment by alot. His injection cost me more out of pocket than heart surgery. His billing was messed up and a collections agency kept calling about bills that had been paid.
