Waited nine months to get into appointment and left feeling like it was a total waste of time and money. He hardly ever looks at you and just types in the computer with periods of just sitting staring at the screen. He felt my thyroid and checked knee reflexes only. Asked a couple of questions and said to make an appointment for three months later. My regular MD (new for me since my doctor died) referred me to him as he overlooks health issues like hashimotos and diabetes. Since I went to him, she won't treat or oversee these health issues so I'm stuck having to go to him to get my thyroid meds. This is after many years of my old MD treating me for all my needs. Seems they want you to go to several doctors which costs more and lots more time involved waiting on appointments. After several appointments he has ran various tests looking for answers to problems I'm having. Major $$$. Then I find out my issues are all linked to my hashimotos- something he should know up front. But then, he did say he doesn't believe Hashi is a real disease. Feeling totally abused by my doctors last few years.

My appt was an absolute waste of time and money. I drove over 4 hours each way to see this man. The office staff was rude and no one ever returned even one of my 4 phone calls in the weeks after my appt. After waiting 2 1/2 months to see the other dr in his office (whom I had been specifically referred to by my physician), I was switched to this dr 3 days before my scheduled appt. I was told if I wanted to see the original dr I was referred to, I would have to go back to the end of the waiting list again. Because I had pressing medical issues, I agreed to see Dr. Horine. After $600 and a full "assessment" he stated he could "confirm" a dx that I was already aware of for the last 10 years. What I needed was for him to oversee and treat the condition. He actually said the words "that's not my job" when he said referred me back to my original dr. REALLY? It's NOT YOUR JOB to treat endocrine conditions??? So he confirmed a dx I already knew I had 10 years prior and wrote me a prescription for a medication and sent me on my way. I called 4 x over the next few weeks because I had issues tolerating the medication and left messages asking about possibly changing the dose and to see if there was another med I could try instead. I never once received a return phone call from anyone. However, they had no problems sending my bill to me to pay.

I was impressed with time and the care Dr Horine gave to me. He explained everything in detail and answered my concerns. He has always followed up with a phone call to let me know test results in a timely matter and made sure to go over any concerns I had. I feel confident in Dr Horine's skills and knowledge.

This was the worst doctor I have ever gone to!! He showed no caring or interest in me or my symptoms.

This doctor has no interest in diagnosing a patient's problem. He exhibits ageism and does not believe the symptoms the patient describes.
