Takes weeks to get into see her. So good for chronic problems. Willing to send you for tests and specialists. No one seems to be on call when she is away.

Don't have a book to write like those that previously posted. Dr Sinclair saw me for my rectal pain, concluded that a scope was necessary, conducted the scope, diagnosed hemorrhoids, and prescribed suppositories. From beginning to end it was about two weeks and was very simple and straight forward.

Horrible experience! I was referred to Dr. Sinclaire due to extreme bouts of abdominal pain which landed me in the Emergency Room. Prior to this experience, I have never been to the ER and never been hospitalized in my life and never been to the ER, so for me to even make an ER trip was extreme—but the pain was unbearable. Like the previous reviewer noted, at first, Dr. Sinclaire was nice enough, but she did absolutely nothing to actually get to the root of the problem and she left me suffering in pain for days with no feedback or next step in place. She ordered a CT scan to check for a possible appendix issue. This was on a Tuesday, and I was told by her office nurse that I would hear from her office by that evening. Long story short, I did not hear anything until Friday, and that was only after I blew up their phones literally begging the receptionist to please get an answer to me because I was in extreme pain. Each time I would call the office, I would be promised a return phone call in a certain number of hours. I would wait by the phone, and the call would never come. I would call back and ask if I could speak with her or with a nurse, and my requests were refused. Each time it was a different story--- Dr.Sinclaire is at the hospital, she is with a patient, she just hasn’t had time to get to your scans. While I understand that doctors are busy, I have been in EXTREME pain and it is extremely unsettling to hear that the doctor hasn’t even taken a look at my scans days after they were sent to her. If she is too busy to respond to patients, then perhaps she should not take on new patients? Finally, after days of blowing up her office phone, I got a phone call from a nurse who told me that Dr. Sinclaire has no idea what’s wrong with me, and the only thing she could do was schedule a colonoscopy (10 days later!) and then after that she could set me up with a surgeon to have my appendix removed if that’s what I want. The tone was extremely condescending. I do not want my appendix removed. I want to know what is going on in my body and why I have been experiencing extreme pain, nausea, and an extended stomach that is FAR from being normal for me. I am not someone who runs to the doctor constantly. And I don’t appreciate being treated this way. I would much rather spend my money and my vacation days on something enjoyable--- not doctors visits and expensive tests that she, the supposed professional, is too busy to look over or discuss with me.

Since my visit with Dr. Sinclaire, I have continued to be in pain with symptoms worsening daily, including seed-like deposits in my stool. Since Dr. Sinclaire showed no concern and was not even willing to speak with me to follow up on my test results, I had my records transferred elsewhere. Another doctor looked at my records and quickly concluded that I need to have an ultrasound to follow up on a liver cyst that THREE radiologists have now reported as problematic, with one radiologist calling me directly to tell me that he believes this could be dangerous and parasitic in nature (Dr. Sinclaire’s nurse acted very rude and condescending when I mentioned this) and has also sent me for follow up, recommending stool examinations by a disease specialist, as I have recently participated in foreign travel in a high disease area. I am finally getting the follow up and testing that I should have had weeks ago, but right now, my body is really weakened from weeks of waiting indefinitely for an answer and being dismissed as I was. When I get a final definitely diagnosis, I will be contacting Dr. Sinclaire’s office so that, hopefully, she will be equipped to help others in the future should she see these symptoms again.

Appalling. The worst, absolute worst doctor experience. I suffer from intermittent gastroparesis with extreme symptoms including vomiting daily, requiring a highly restrictive diet and resulting in a 20 pound weight loss over the course of one month. Dr. Sinclair was nice enough to begin with, very concerned and eager to help. That didn't last. Before my procedures, I asked about the process. The hospital staff were surprised that Dr. Sinclair had not explained to me what would happen to my body. Then, she decided she had no idea what was wrong with me- to my face, actually said those words- and I went to see other doctors, all who took a ton of blood and prescribed tests and drugs that Dr. Sinclair had never even considered. My husband's uncle, who is a renowned physician in the DC area was appalled by how little Dr. Sinclair had done- "She only checked your thyroid? What about connective tissue disorder or celiac's- none of that? She actually didn't test you for any of that?" I asked Dr. Sinclair in June to write a letter to my employer explaining why I couldn't work. Considering that I am vomiting daily, lost nearly 15% of my weight in a month, and cannot even stand for longer than 5 minutes without getting dizzy and nearly fainting, I did not think this would be a problem. Dr. Sinclair took my employer's information and promised to write the letter soon. It is now over two months after she told me this. I called the office numerous times and even came to the office for the sole purpose of obtaining this letter. I left multiple notes and even dictated my symptoms on the nurse to give to Dr. Sinclair. This week I got fed up at the lack of progress, or actually no progress. I decided I was going to call the office daily to check on their progress, which I know is a little obnoxious, but this situation was getting ridiculous. The receptionist was very rude, probably because they're sick of hearing from me at this point. She told me Dr. Sinclair was not in. Well, fabulous. Could she explain to me how, if Sinclair had gotten all my notes, why there had been no progress for the past 60 DAYS on this letter? She said she didn't know, she wasn't her nurse. Great, please transfer me to her, which she did before I even finished my sentence. Then, I get the nurse, who was incredibly rude and told me Dr. Sinclair couldn't write the note. Excuse me? Yes, she said, Dr. Sinclair will actually call you tomorrow to talk to you about this. I was actually speechless. Dr. Sinclair had assured me she would write the letter. In the past two months I have visited two other doctors, all who diagnosed me with gastroparesis, confirmed my symptoms, and agreed that I was unable to work. I'm going to John's Hopkins in MD to get more help. All these doctors seem concerned and desperate to help me get back some quality of life. Not Dr. Sinclair. I cannot believe she is going to call me, after TWO MONTHS, to explain that she cannot write this letter. It would literally take her 5 minutes. Oh, not to mention, that a few months back she prescribed a medication for me and FORGOT to send the prescription to the pharmacy, and then went on holiday for a week. The nurse said she couldn't get in contact with her to fill the prescription, as Dr. Sinclair had also forgotten to write down the dosage. My dad was appalled: "SHE'S A DOCTOR. Since when are doctors unreachable, you know, in case one of their patients NEEDS them? And where the heck is she that she's UNREACHABLE? New Guinea?" So, to sum up, DO NOT SEE DR. SINCLAIR. I am literally speechless at this treatment. I suppose I will have to get the letter from the other doctors I have seen that actually do their job. Ridiculous, absolutely absurd.
