Is he always late? Yes. Is he the reason I'm okay? Also yes. I have been to a few therapists, but none have been as helpful as Dr. Vanhoek. He listens, he remembers, and his wisdom is boundless. I cannot express enough how much seeing him these last 2 years has helped me grow and heal. I never would have imagined I was capable of the strides I have made in such a short amount of time. 10/10 would recommend as long as you don't mind that he is usually 10 minutes behind his schedule. He has never shortened our time and will sit with me for longer than our allotted time if I am not in a good enough headspace to end the session. This is likely why he averages being late by 10 minutes, but I appreciate that extra care he takes for his patients/clients.

I don’t know why someone put he’s evil. He wouldn’t gotten as far as he’s gotten under such strong terms! Anyway.. been within 11 years and have grown so much. I never thought I’d be this stable. He really makes you answer your own questions and doospoon feed answers to you. Focuses on the ‘how’ rather than the ‘why’ of issues in life. Compassionate, but doesn’t let you simply cruise through. You have to work with him to improve on yourself. If you’re not ready for honest and true introspection in order to get out of your MI then I’d go to someone gentler who probably dances around your issues which costs more and wastes both of your time.

I have been with Bert for the years and he had helped me tremendously! I have been off of work for 7 years and have just started a part time job. His expertise in trauma and DID are the best I have ever found. I never thought i was capable of teaching again and thanks to his help I am!

This man is evil inside. My mother went to see him and he treated her very badly. Seemed nice at first but once you get to know him he is very bad news.
