She only talks about her political views. very unprofessional.

She is not nearly as smart as she thinks she is, and boundaries are a real issue for her, as she constantly borders on or crosses them in a most unhealthy manner. Bringing her personal health issues and knowing, by her own admission, that she discusses patients private health concerns with her son (reportedly a nurse, with an ADN) is completely unprofessional. She may not give the names of other patients she is currently seeing, however she does often bring them into conversations. Challenging her ideas brings rapid backpedaling.

Dr. Karr treated me years ago and to this day I recall her words and knowledge. She helped me learn to save myself. She challenged my self esteem and I finally have some. She showed me the reality of my ugly addiction to alcohol and that was tough. But she also cared enough to teach me that my behavior was the only tough part. I know she saved my life.

There is a vital distinction between knowledge and effectiveness. The difference is an egotistical, abrasive woman who consistently re-traumatized me and managed to leave me feeling as if it were my fault. If you're addicted to paranoia, this doctor will most definitely hook you up.

I am very particular about which psychologists I will work with. I do tons of reading on my own and insist on seeing only psychologists that know a great deal more than I do and also "get" the dynamics of having a toxic family of origin. Dr Karr gets it.

She gave me resources to move forward with. She gave me a number of places to get information and further help as well as, as much contact information she had. I'd definitely visit her if you need help getting your life together.
I visited her because of a previous add diagnosis, she pointed me in the right direction for career testing, for the accessibility center for my school, and gave me some solid things to consider regarding my personal life.

This doctor is quite unprofessional. She has a horrible bedside manner. She offends with her words and really should work on her communication skills if she is to claim that she is qualified to practice psychology.

Terribly unprofessional. It is so shocking, relative to other therapists I have worked with, that is allowed to practice. She should absolutely be a patient rather than a provider!! Disorganized, challenging to work with, poor communication style. There are soooo many qualified therapists to work with. Choose wisely and steer clear of her.
