Dr. Porter started taking care of our daughter as a newborn in 1981. He got us through surgery to correct a birth defect, her first tantrum (I called when she started and he walked me through as I sat crying outside her bedroom door) and allergies with both kids. After we moved from Portland when the kids were 10 and 14 we still drove up to see him from the southern Willamette Valley (90 miles one way) yes, he's that good! I'm certain our daughter would bring her children to his office if she lived nearer. His staff was always welcoming. Having a pediatrician you can trust is a godsend. Thank you Doctor Porter for taking such good care of Ab and Michael.

I saw Dr Porter when I was growingup, and now i'm expecting my own bundle of joy in February. I plan to have our baby seen my Dr. Porter as well. As the other reviews have stated he is very attentive to his patients and the whole team in the office is great! As a child i remember his Nurse, Laura, dealing with me and my fear of needles. Thinking back I laugh sometimes at how patient and encouraging they were with me.

Dr. Porter was recommended to our family by a friends who are both in the medical profession. Both my children go to Dr. Porter. He is beyond excellent. He always talks with the patient first, establishing relationship. On our first visit, one DD was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He felt genuine sadness at having to tell me such news on our first meeting. One week later, he called in the evening to check on how she and I were doing. Pretty thoughtful. He listens to every concern I have, even a dx from another MD from another state and answers without condescension. His nurse always answers our calls promptly and with concern. Thankfully, everyone in the office is gentle, kind and completely respectful of children and families. He is definitely one to trust with your most cherished gifts: your children!

Both my children see Dr Porter, so do both of my sisters children. He is the best child doctor I have ever seen. very knowledgable and kind... I would highly recomend him to anyone and everyone
