Outstanding doctor. Unfortunately, the staff and hospital are not very efficient. Dr. Castro-Borrero is so wonderful, I put up with the frustrations associated with UCONN as I know their problems should not reflect on her. She is knowledgeable and helpful. Truly one of a kind. Outstanding physician in an unfortunate situation.

I would never point anyone in the direction of Dr. Castro's office. Dr. Castro mis-diagnosed me. She was always unavailable in my times of need and when I did speak to her, she made it known that it was close to her time to leave for the day and she was in a rush. HORRIBLE. She took 2 months off without any plan for her patients or without a name of who would be covering in her place. They were unable to tell me when she was returning. She based my diagnosis simply of off one scan that was done. I, since she decided to take 2 months off without notice, have found another doctor who has done multiple tests to find my correct diagnosis and it is not what doctor castro had diagnosed me with and put me on HORRIBLE medication for. I strongly recommend that you DO NOT go to this doctor if you want the correct diagnosis and a relationship with the doctor that is treating you long term for an auto immune disease. And by the way, its been a month and a half and i have not heard from her office.

Dr.Castro is very passionate about helping people. She is very caring and knowledgeable about issues concerning her patients. I would highly reccomend her to anyone.
