Dr.Hewitt is very nice, but regarding hypothyriodism, she is textbook old school. Test T-4 and prescient Synthroid. After you've been hypo for over 16 years like me, with still practically every sympom, you just wish you could find a specialist who would tray the symptoms, not the numbers!

Dr. Hewitt was nice enough but I didn't come away with much confidence in her knowledge about testosterone. Felt like she was regurgitating something she had read without any real knowledge of the subject. I have used others in different states that knew far more than she did. She freaked out when my hemacrit level was 50 which is at the top of normal. I had brought a twelve different blood test taken over the last few years that showed my level was always somewhere near the top of normal though it would very up and down by a few percentage points. She acted like she thought I was going to drop dead any minute if I did not stop using testosterone for my hypogonadism. She is very wrong. I did not like knowing a lot more than my endocrinologist. Freaked me out. I would suggest that no one ever go to her for any reason. If she lacks knowledge about something as basic as HRT for hypogonadism then what else does she know nothing about?? Dr. Micheal Davis, in the same practice, is good.

GREAT DOC. SHE LISTENS AND RUNS THE NECESSARY TEST AND DOES ALL THAT SHE CAN TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF YOUR ISSUES.
