I have been under the care of Dr Berger for 9 years. It's rare that a doctor will go that extra mile to ensure that you receive the best up-to-date technology used to treat your disease, not your symptoms.

My opinion if you're seeking a doctor that adheres to the Hippocratic oath as their mantra, you need not seek any further than Dr Eliana Berger, endocrinologist.

She is just about the worst doctor I have ever been to. I don't know where she learned her bedside manners, but when she asked me about my history and my symptoms, she told me I was lying about them. I couldn't believe what she was accusing me of. Never had a medical professional be so unprofessional! Of course she didn't last as my doctor. Now I have a terrific one, one who works with me and not against me. Potential patients, go anywhere else but here.

This is the worssssst office ever! The staff is terrible! I dont understand why they hire such irresponsible people. I made an appointment which they had canceled and changed the date without even confirming with me. They told me they called me several times and left voicemails (i calll that bullshiz! ) ... I never receieved any calls or voicemails. Staff is veryy rude! I took time off of work to make it to my appointment.. I don't recommend anyone trusting this crappy office they dont know what they are doing. Only thing they care for is your insurance money.

I've actually had a much different experience with Dr. Schenk (Berger) than most of the other reviewers. I have been seeing her for several years now and I really like her and her staff. I will admit though, that I did find her a bit impersonable when I first started with her years ago but I think she had been just out of school and was still developing her bedside manner. She is much kinder, more patient and helpful than when I first met her. She answers all of my questions and she was my first doctor that convicted me to go on the pump (many before her had tried). I appreciate her honesty when expressing concerns and suggesting adjustments. Lastly, she encourages me and praises me for doing a good job or for improvements which is nice to hear after so many years of managing my diabetes.

Completely impersonable. Basically i agree with everything the reviewers mentioned, they are all true. She will treat you like a nuisance and barely let you ask questions. If all you want is someone to tell you you're ok or not ok, then go see her. I tend to want to understand my options and my situation, so i need a doctor that actually spends more than 20 seconds with me.

The staff in the office is terrible. I had an appointment which they called to cancel and I never received the call or a message. They said that they tried to call once and that the number was disconnected (which it was not!). On two occasions, I requested a refill and they only approved 2 vials of insulin and told me I had to come in and see the doctor. The co-pay for the 2 vials of insulin was $65.00. When I received the correct prescription (but only after I called the office 3 times to have it resent) I had to pay another $65.00! It should have only cost one co-pay, not two. Dr. Schenk is rude and condescending. I think she wanted to be a kindergarten teacher because that is how she talks to me - like a child. I have been working very hard to get my A1C lower and have done so, very successfully, for the past 1-1/2 years. It was not live threatening high at any time, but it is now at a level which would be consider (almost) normal for a non-diabetic! Any encouragement-nope
