As healthcare professionals ourselves, we have the advantage of not only seeking peer advice but of having the knowledge to see warning signs. Other than the demeanor of the staff and the frequent cancellations of appointments, which we could overlook, Dr Halaburka seemed clueless or careless of infection control. She barely wet her hands when washing them then dried her hands with a reused cloth towel that was already lying (and dirty) on the counter top. She wore very loose clothing that draped all over our newborn spreading who knows what from previous examinations of potentially sick children. She otherwise seemed unkempt and sloppy as she smothered our child with all of the potential bugs typical of any pediatrician's office.

Dr Hal is great for new parents, but now that my kids are entering puberty, I think her sometimes "I know best" attitude isn't sitting well with me. Not having seen my older son for 3 years, she went on and asked why he wasn't in organized sports...huh? She hardly knows him, barely asked what his interests were. And then went on her usual, do the parents get out, and if you don't, you'll be divorced, which also kind of freaked my son out. I know where she's going, but she's lost some tact there. My child is a person and she's just not thinking. He was very uncomfortable with her, and that's enough for me to change. I just feel like there's no room for anything but her parenting style, and she talks at you, not with you.

We heard about Dr. Hal from a friend. I believe Dr. Hal is a very knowledgeable person, but she doesn't listen/answer as much as I expect. My biggest complaint is she is always late, sometimes 40-60 minutes. She spends a few minutes with us, and then we still have to wait for 5-10 minutes for the nurse to come with the immunization. We spend 1-1.5 hours just for 1 regular check-up. The front desk (Laura) is quite nice. The waiting room is too small, I'm afraid that my baby getting too close to sick children.

I have 3 kids(4,6,9)We had been w/Dr.Hal since the birth of my 9yr old. She is a good Dr. We left her practice because of her staff (disorganizedand & rude) and because she ALWAYS ran 30-40mins late! I didn't realize how poorly Dr.Hals office was run because I never had anything to compare it to. I am very pleased w/our new Dr. I should have made the move years ago!

So aweful....I will never refer anyone to this office, they are not professional. I had a very sick baby during the Thanksgiving break. We saw the on call doctor doing that weekend and on Monday morning I try to make an appt but they will not see my child right away. I alway had to wait at least 30 -45 mins for all my kids checkup but when my kids needed their doctor the most. We can't count on them. I end up take my baby to the ER. Then two days later, I received a terminate letter from one of the doctor there telling me to seek for another doctor for my kids. My 2 1/2 and 3 1/3 girls have been with these doctor since they were born. Can't believe now they treat us. These doctors don't care, I'll find someone that does.

I am very happy with Dr. Halaburka and the entire office. They are friendly and I feel my needs are being addressed. The one time I had a minor complaint, I asked to speak with the office manager, Donna. Donna was very helpful. She took the time to listen to me and acknowledge my concern. Even better, she followed up with me later to be sure my needs were being met. I happily recommend this practice to all of my friends.

My biggest complaint was with her front office girl. She is rude and unprofessional. Dr. Halaburka also would not show up for numerous appt. and front desk wouldn't call to notify us. We also got numerous prescriptions from these fill in Dr's. that Halaburka hired and they all gave incorrect directions on the medication. Then when we left numerous messages to talk with Dr. Halaburka she never would call us back. The front office was messy, loud and disorganized. We ultimately switched doctors based on the front office being So RUDE and the safety for our child.

Dr Hal is a great Doctor. It is her front office staff that gives poor service. Very rude! Her nurse Jennifer is great.

We've been with Dr. Halaburka's practice for 3 months. So far, we like her - she always takes time to answer all our questions and doesn't rush off although her practice is quite busy. She is also quite personable and compassionate (which is very important for us as first-time parents of a new baby). Contrary to other people's comments, we haven't had any problems with the personnel in her office.
